So do you guys think we are missing something, or that the launch of the site is all we get for the time being?

[Edit]

Found a new mp3 file. http://www.massivedynamic.com/sounds/ambient.mp3

Any ideas here? Morse code? Binary?

I overlayed the two MP3s (they are about the same length) and ran it through a spectrogram. Admittedly, I don't really know what I'm looking for and nothing jumped right out. thebruce would probably have more luck.

ticker tape
md company site

Cool

The ticker tape on MD's site may be the same as on the wall in the hall at MD when Olivia goes to meet Nina. No response yet to e-mail and phone message to MD yet.

Has anyone else read the entire Legal section of the MD site? It's....vaguely threatening. One of the lines is:

Quote:
"If you email MD through the "Contact Us" link on this Site, MD will ask you for information such as your name and email address so MD can respond to your questions and comments. You may choose to provide additional information as well. In providing such information to MD, you thereby give MD permission to use said information in any manner that MD sees fit."

But my favorite is this:
Quote:
"You acknowledge that MD and its affiliates and subsidiaries together with their respective officers, directors, agents, employees, and shareholders, are not liable for any failures, delays, inaccuracies, omissions, errors, interruptions, defects, deletions, viruses, communication line failures, natural disasters, or acts of God, or for the theft, destruction, damage or unauthorized access to your computer system or network."

Is it just me being bored, or do these legal disclaimers sound more menacing that most websites?

Oh... the second citation is really creepy Smile I seached for similiar legal textes - I haven't found till now any legal text about "acts of God" Smile

It looks like we have perhaps virtual action one day at MD-website Smile

This may or may not have been present since the site launched, but on the Site Map page, there is a link to Synergy.

Now, all of the other links on the Site Map are accessible from the other pages on the site. Synergy, while a dead link at the moment, is the ONLY link that is ONLY accessible from the Site Map page. Do we have any idea what Synergy could mean in this context?

PS. I used to work for a company that was always talking about "synergy". It usually meant BS.

[Edit]

Upon closer examination, Yield is also a link that is not present anywhere else.

Another anomaly

I applied for the Kitchen positon thru the comments and suggestions form...and while listing all of thier core values in their "MD Team Member" listing I found this:

Quote:
Massive Dynamic Team Members enjoy the very best in compensation, benefits, and amenities. As a result, they are some of the most devoted employees in the world. In addition to the standard amenities, our worldwide offices boast five-star restaurants, on-site recreation and swimming facilities, daycare and child development programs, cosmetic centers, yoga and tai chi classes, dental offices, and more. In the future, we plan to add even more facilities, such as auto-hypnosis rooms, revitalization lounges, and detoxification bars. We’re proud to say that people who come to work at Massive Dynamic never want to leave.

Bold is mine for emphasis. I know it is a typo...but it MUST signify something, right? I have seen no other typos anywhere, and for a bunch of futuristic geniuses it is quite out of place. I dunno, with nothing else to do I am getting bored. I have messed with all of the flash to no avail, even zooming in. This is reminding me os SLUSHO!!! (For you cloverfield-heads).

it's just a mis-displayed code that represents the special ' (single quote/apostrophe - not the keyboard one). It's an extended character. Happens a lot when people use a word processor that adjusts text as you type (like converting double quotes to curled left/right quotes which are non-standard). nothing to see here

Yeah, I am familiar with it, thanks Bruce. My point is only that it is the only place in the entire site with a typo, and seems out of place/keeping with a bunch of supposed and self proclaimed brainiacs. I am coming to terms with this being a CF/viral campaign than an actual game...but I keep looking/hoping for something more. Oh well.

Yeah, I also used to zoom Slusho webpage to look for hints etc. But Massivedynamics is really cool as ARG webpage - full of informations. I missed it at Tagruato webpage (even without downloadable year billance protocolls etc)...

And all my office to was made crazy by me in Cloverfield times. They helped me even with chemical analyzing of Slusho, hehe

My feeling is that we won't get any updates, including email/phone messages, until tuesday. or perhaps sunday. It seems like they want to update everything at once, during the show. Does anyone know the timeframes wherein the ITI.com cases were released?

One thing that doesn't fit this pattern: glowingmonkeys.com, which updated with the message about a flood of traffic. But it's still a little questionable as to them being entirely IG or not.

So what's the consesus? Does this look to everyone else as something that will be a full blown ARG? Or just a little viral teaser to bring people in?

fringe
viral

Cool
I think it is a viral to pull people in. Of note...in episode recaps of foxonfringe.com there is new info..first mentioned on FringeTV. You can view Walter's notes from the experiment in Pilot 1..fibonacci is mentioned as are Theta waves. Also when you pass your cursor over the text of pilot 1 summary you hear the tone from the first imagine site(nature motifs). Specifically on the words"hazmat suit".

Alright, another question. Is most of this being figured out here? Or at FringTV? Not that I'm going to neglect you fine people here. I'm really digging the theories. Smile
