Wiki Annoucement
Some of you have PM'd me about connecting to the IRC channel for AU. I went ahead and took the headache out of connecting by embedding a Java based IRC chat applet into the Wiki itself. You can it here:

Yeah see me and Waitress did the same thing about 4 hours ago but we weren't going to announce it until we had figured out HOW to get those passwords. I thought that brute forcing a stegged file was kinda frowned up unless the PMs intended it so...

But since the cat is out of the bag...

Yes it seems as though David Caldwell doesn't age. He apparently can die though. Toxicology report states that there wasn't any known drugs in his system when he died and no apparent cause of foul play.

The two files are indeed mysterious. We now have a new character in the game: "I9" who appears to be an informant inside AU who's feeding Top Secret info to Anna.

Also there is a Donald Ralfe who signed the letter to Anna.

Initial searches on the internet turn up nothing out of the ordinary for David Saint Caldwell.

The MP3 file is a garbled voice. I've been able to reduce the background noise considerably and it you can hear a male voice speaking in Spanish. Mine's a little rusty so if anyone wants a copy of my clip for translation let me know and I can post it.

I still want us to work through that puzzle though. I want to know HOW we got those passwords. Anyone here would agree that hacking a stegged file is fairly easy because the password is just XOR encrypted into the file itself. I think that if the PMs wanted us to hack that file though they would have given some kind of indication.

 		I can't control what tools the PMs use for hiding their secrets. Just as they can't control what avenues I take to figure out something.

 		Well I won't say amend it because to an extent I agree with you which is why I had already cracked them open. I don't think it will be a problem though if we find out HOW those passwords derive from the puzzles. Understanding the direction that the PM wants us to take is CRUCIAL in successfully participating in a game.

 		if it is EU-1 that means that one of the 2 unnamed soldiers that the op 5837 report refers to might in fact be David Caldwell

Edit: I'll confirm both Dan Luna and EU-1. Photoshop is just too awesome! Very Happy
