I did the same thing. There's a NovaHelix that's supposed to be on DiaryLand (whatever the hell that is) but he doesn't seem to actually exist. He's on my AIM but I don't know if he really exists there either. Checked the chat-solutions server for suspicious channel names, nothing there either. Also tried pinging NovaHelix37 on chat-solutions, but he wasn't online (if he exists there).

You would think that he would be on myspace, but nope.

Sent this out to NovaHelix37SHPLATgmail, hotmail, and yahoo:

Hi,
I'm a friend of Kelsi and Katia. They gave me your email awhile back, seems they were pretty taken with you and thought that you and I would get along. I never got around to emailing you (sorry), but figured I would to see if you knew where they are? I haven't seen them online in awhile. I know Kelsi's mom took away her Myspace privileges, and Katia followed suit, but I was able to get ahold of them through IM. Been awhile since I've seen either of them on, and got to wondering what they're up to.
Anyway, if you know some alternate way to contact them, let me know, would ya?
Thanks man,
-Nate

yahoo and hotmail bounced, gmail hasn't yet.
We'll see if I confuse the hell out of some poor kid.

[EDIT] gmail just bounced too. Damn.

Just for further reference, the bigass clock behind Link reads 12:12. kl00? He also mentions youtube's message system, fwiw.

The giant clock in addition to his name, 'theunmissinglink', makes me think that perhaps he is trying to lead us to some website. I've tried some obvious permutations of his name, 12:12, etc. at the usual websites and didn't find anything though *shrug*.

also noted was in the Kelsi/Katia blog there is another sub-species more human but not. the "chaneque" are mentioned as a separate. also there may be some racism between the vampyrus' and others. this is supported by the blog statement "And that equal rights between the species had not even been thoroughly established"

Quiet?

There has happened so much the last days and nevertheless it is so quiet here in this forum. Is everybody just overwhelmed or are you all on weekend holidays Smile

I will try to update the wiki http://aap.wikidot.com/. Now we have already to big IG forums (SLA and Mikey's Google group). It seems that AA will be very huge and that it will not be possible to keep the wiki updated with everything. So if you want to help...

Guess you could say overwhelmed. There is a lot of interaction to be done on SLA.

I've managed to get onto the newspaper staff and we've already gotten our first assignment. We have to interview students and faculty about SEAL. We have a Friday deadline.

Yearbook should be interesting. I've been PMing Wes and he says that once we have a full staff we will pick a theme. He also says we have to decide if it will be an online YB or a hard-back. An actual yearbook would be awesome swag. Would fall into uberswag status definitely.

Still trying to get onto the SEAL usergroup. I've PM'd Diego a few times and he told me how DeGrance is really cool and is totally on our side even though she is under the DCs thumb.

Gonna try out for Student Council. Think I'll take it easy and go for treasurer. Prez or Activities director sounds cool but might be too consuming...jeez this is starting to be more and more like school.

probably should have posted all this in the Diego's School thread. Oh well.

Shyeah I WISH. I'm still recovering from a mild case of hurricane. Bit shell-shocked here down in Houston.

DAMN I have missed a lot. I'll try to catch up.

New blog post at Aporia CME.

http://news.aporiacme.com/2008/09/18/st-laudines-academy/

Quote:
We recently distributed letters to many individuals who had signed up for our current project. We, also, sent some to other people who had never heard of the project before but whose mailing addresses were readily available through contact information on their websites or through an interaction thread at www.unforums.com.

There were a few media entities we targeted, but we did not target many. We want to see how far and how wide this game can grow without spending a ton of money on marketing the game. So far it feels like we're doing a great job. The new site has hundreds of unique views in several different countries, and growing daily.

The key to the school portion of this project is player challenges through the development of media for the rest of the players to enjoy, activities that revolve around events in this fictional universe, and fellowship challenges that we intend to try to do some good with when possible. In order to get the most out of the activities, the environment needs willing and active participants … and the more participants the better the enjoyment for all. So start spreading the word to your friends or anyone who's ear can be bent. Tell them about the school for creatures who are seeking to fit in with our society - tell them about the interaction they'll receive from characters in this immersive fiction… and then if you told them about it through a blog, vlog, or whatever other means - tell us and it may end up in a special section of the player created student yearbook.

Note: Those of you who are googling St. Laudine's Academy because you got a letter and now you're reading this blog - please visit this link for registration codes for the http://mycampus.stlaudines.org website: SIN registration codes

Looks like this portion of the game is going to use a lot of the same mechanics as the Our Lost Puppy mini-game that they ran a few months ago.

If by "power" you mean powerful winds, yes. If you mean electricity, well, not so much. It's a whole new have/have-not system down here now. Idea

Starting to read a little, but I need to pick a species - do we have any Djinn players yet?

I think I might be the only one... Unless I missed any when I was looking over the general make-up.

Yes i meant electricity. i have none either (77375) i had no water for 2 days.
I chose djinn and then i used the same name to apply for a job (info on that in the Hutchinson thread) at Hutchinson (dopty dopty doh...should change my name to homer) so made a new account as a Chanuque. so i will burn the Sleestaxx account there and use the new one.
Now i am going through the boards to catch up

You mean registering on ACME? I think I never received a confirmation (but to be honest I am not sure if I ever registered at all).
