Question 18

I doubt that I'm a top leader, and I have no idea where to begin with this one. I had thought it might have something to do with how a number keypad would be layed out (as someone else mentioned).
And why is does Q18 have a medium rating? Are we overlooking a more simple solution?

kie,
I can't quite come out with your figures for my illustration.
My first one divides to
37 17 26 85 22 28 14 17 22 _28 48_212 136 151 194 253 234
the directions are ->4{^3<2>8{
begin at 37
move right one to 17
delete 17 26 85 22
go to end 234
move back 3 to 151
delete 151 194
go home to 37
move right (to the next available number?) 28
delete 28 14 17 22 _ 28 48 _
this leaves 37 212 136 253 234
Did I do anything wrong?
Yep. When using the arrows, you move past a number. When you moved to the end of the sequence, you move all the way to the end. Backing up, you will pass 234, 253, 194 and you will be at the begining of 194. Same thing for the begining of the sequence. When you move forward 2, you move past 37 and 28.

delete 28 14 17 22 _ 28 48 _ delete 14 17 22 __ 28 48 __ 212
this leaves 37 212 136 253 234 this leaves 37 28 136 151 234

Bolded the errors, the first mistake seemed to throw you. I think these 'rules' are still open for interpretation anyway as the results don't seem consistent with each other.

FYI:
I am one of the top leaders (#2 on the List). I do not use my ARN (alternate reality name) everywhere on the internet
Still wondering if there is a deeper meaning in "BEGINING"

[EDIT (from previous post)]
Q21 is available, as of today 9/23. I just got the numbers confused
AUZ505: Good going on #2 (did I just type that?)
kie_yeo: Dang skippy. Just because I came up with an interpretation that parses the numbers somewhat, surely doesn't mean that it is correct. We won't know how to solve this until that little window pops up with 'Congratulations' and adds our IP's to our score.

Magnet0, you and others noted that the puzzle is rated Medium. I finally saw the rating on the right. I wonder why "Difficult" is on the puzzle itself. I was also wondering how you found out that the questions are up to 21. Anyway I really liked your interpretation of the symbols. I really thought you had the solution. dang.

Or takes away the excess IP's i've used

There's a little box near the top that lists new questions / modifications in the last 24 hours or so (not always anything in it). I noticed a couple days ago it contained a note saying 'glitch for level 11 fixed'. Do you think he's watching us Can we get a hint!?!?

Yeah, I was hoping the little HINT button might show up.
I noticed the "Message Box" link, and sent a request for a hint.
EDIT: I received a response!

Yes, and the hint might be: Divide the row into two and three-digit numbers

Double post but ...
I made it
So the numbers we finally came up with are right. And now a hint
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The highest number we have up to now is 234 by Adventurik. Look at the stats of the excerp and you should know what to do.

Congratulations, AUZ!
The past 2 or 3 days I've been applying the numbers to the quote and my answers are wrong. I'm still missing something....

AUZ505,
How about something MORE cryptic. I have already tried variations of my 4 letters, 'rehi', and have only .18 IP's left. What did you manage to gain from 'shne'?

Freakin hint for Q18:
Quote:
There are no spaces between the last word of a line and the first word of the next line of the text.
On to Q19.

Q19:
I remembered just .03 seceonds too late. I had already made my choice when my long term memory clicked in. I furiously made the mad dash to successfully halt my choice but I was too late.
