as myopic in the IGforum pointed out, there must be any significance, that the key was first lllAlPllV B TKM Y-Z, Q-E, T-L

it might have been a legit correction but APV happens to strike me as "Audrey Plainview" so I don't know if username is a factor in decryption here.

hey, i'm myopic on the forum in case anyone was wondering...

anyhow....

this is really tough. lol

this is my first full on arg and i guess now my first tough ass code to crack. I've been looking everywhere for sources but I guess its the sort of thing that you pick up after seeing many many many different codes.

since it's the first one in the game, I can't imagine it would be that tough but.. I can't wrap my head around it. Frequency does nothing because probably half of the characters show up between 5 and 7 times. I think "M" could be a major letter but that isn't much help. I just think the key is the most important part to figure out first I guess. I didn't come across any key to any code that ever looked like that but I've only been at this sort of stuff for a few months.

I hope someone can figure it out, or I wonder if it has to do with the shipments maybe. I should be getting something tomorrow (hoping that they ment it would arrive the 26th and not sent out then) it seems logical that they would drop something like this just before a physical clue too.

The a major emphasis in this game so far has been information sharing, be it the clues unlocked by swapping e-mails, the phone calls, or the viral videos in various public video communities. so I started thinknig what if the key was somehow tied to information about the forum or users or usernames...

hopefully some experienced sleuth will just come in here and be like 'oh that's "--------" code...simple" and then wham. most likely not though. I'll be seeing these letters in my sleep lol.

wow great job guys! excited about tomorrow. I'm hoping anyone contacted is a member of the UF forums since it seems IG is 'compromised' in a way by the moderator.

The mod's also the only IG character that's referred to this thing as a 'game'. To post something like 'clue unlocked double advancement' in a setting of serious crisis seems suspicious.

hoping to get some nice linkage from the owners of videos tomorrow and hopefully i'll have some shipment info to share as well.

time for bed now (overdue lol)

Or the code could be related to the cure in someway?

My instinct would be that they just fluffed the cipher, the machine is not the easiest to setup and the fact you need a 3-point ref, I can understand them using her initials, APV. I mean I had to re-post mine on the IG three times, but maybe that says more about my ability ><

BUT... it would of been so easy for them to use the same setup details and just changed the cipher...

BUT... that doesn't mean that her initials haven't been a clue all along if you still believe that APV was posted in the setup for a reason.. Smile

I hope I've cleared that up a bit Confused

Tex...

EDIT: of course the change could point to who they are going to make contact with.. hmm... TRL.. I don't know anyone with those initials in their name... TexRipLey :p

Nice work, Tex!!!
Next time I'll have to not be so lazy and use the full Enigma simulator instead of the more user-friendly simplified ones. Very Happy
