That thing that people only have to watch older movies on. Or record things if they don't have TiVo/DVR (like me. )

I'm member 42.
THAT MUST MEAN SOMETHING.
I think MOTP is standing behind the candidates and watching them, but because he's so awesome he's invisible.

thearkpariah is a character in 8/13/42. O.o Being Twitter-stalked by a fictional person indeed sounds creepy.
And holy crap it's annoying to go through and send friend requests to everyone. I think the member list is in order by when you joined and from the radio thing onward is all IG profiles. Wonder who all is who amongst the players.

LMAO. I haven't been on unforums in ages....I'll check it out. Yeah was slightly creeped, although safety-wise I never put my exact location so no big. I also thought maybe it was one of you guys pranking me.
I agree, we'll have to watch interactions...
Oh and everyone if you have a different name on the official site declare it here.

Why no name and pic? In a response to all who were asking why no name and no pic for the candidate. It seems the reason is that they are trying to prove a point, that the campaign is about the voters, that it is the voters voice that matters. Now whether you believe the hype of Kate-of-the-people is a whole other question. But either way I think it is a decent idea and quite nicely explains the lack of name and pic.

Besides the fact that several people from this forum received the introductory email (I did not, for the record), do we even know if this is an ARG?
I'm still trying to figure out how to classify this. Thinks like direct linking to "Rock the Vote" do seem odd to me, at least in the ARG world.

I received an email on my strictly-arg account. It's only posted in the interactions thread on these forums. So I figured anything that ends up in there is an ARG. (That, or someone just used these boards to collect email addresses for some non-argy publicity thing, which would have me muchly annoyed.)
But yeah, I did find it a bit odd that they directly linked to "Rock the Vote"...
EDIT: Looks like they used the Interactions Thread to get the emails - most of the people that got CC'ed seem to have posted on the same page(s) there. But, um, yeah, I /think/ this is an ARG. The highlighted letters on the website to make the words "more than meets the eye" and such looks ARGish? (Heh now I'm getting paranoid. )

I figured linking to Rock the Vote was either to not have to make their own page for that, or to make the game not scream TIAG.
Maybe the PMs wanted to get people to vote for real? Not for Man of the People or whatever, but to vote at all. Lots of people don't.
