Yeh, I'm still convinced grickily's either a mole or just a 'character' introduced to get things moving, considering the movie comes out in a week.

I found the last pic, interesting, because of the "blind leading the blind" - that girl in front was not wearing the glasses, which says to me she isn't blind...so is that our Audrey Plainview of sorts? She may be blind to information, but not physically blind, I guess. Anywho.

Ineffabelle, is your dad still gonna check out the institute? It's possible (if he is a plant) that grickily knew what was over there, and already had the pics, so he didn't actually remove the bag.

About grickily...he emailed me asking if I would be his proxy and I accepted. Then he emailed me this:
"yeah it is about 10 minutes from my place so we just ran over and got it - the flash drive was in a bag that "infectious waste Danger" I am thinking perhaps that clue should be emailed to the game people. perhaps that is how the disease is being spread"

Grickily is OOG

Hey I've already emailed Grickily (after I looked all over his sites).... I'm 99.9% sure he is genuinely OOG. I think he was randomly targered as a local LA artist and blogger to try and attract more outside attention to the ARG. Here's our emails....

Hi Grickily,

I'm emailing you because you seem to have stumbled down what we like to call a "rabbit hole" for an alternative reality game (ARG for short) called I Am Blind promoting the movie Blindness. We have a really a really great community of people who play these type of things on a regular basis at unfiction.com. In fact we have been working specifically on this ARG in this thread here: http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=26691

When you just started posting on the in-game forums we weren't really sure if you were an in-game character or not, but after checking out your site it seems like you've just been randomly targeted by the Puppet Masters (PMs aka the people who run ARGs). So I thought I'd say hi, introduce myself, and invite you to come collaborate and join us in working on this over at unfiction where we can discuss and coordinate out-of-game. (In fact, its not allowed for in-game characters to post at unfiction.)

I'm also personally REALLY glad you posted that you went and got the package when you did because we had agreed I was going to go get it tomorrow morning since I'm near by. I'm glad I now know not to go and won't be all confused finding a hole the ground. LOL (Saved me gas some dirt as well Razz )

Anyway... I go by ineffabelle on unfiction (uF for short). I hope to see you around!

-Belle

PS I was just talking to Saki (also a uF member) and he said you asked him to be your proxy! Cool beans Smile

belle -

yeah I talked with a guy that did ARGs about a year ago - he was doing some research and asked me a bunch of questions (about which I dont really remember)

I am glad I did not step on your toes going to pick this up but it was only about 10 minutes away from me and getting the package in the mail really intrigued me

i watched most of the viral videos - they all look to be shot in the LA area. so if there is any further LA leg work you need done, I would be happy to do it

thanks

Dan Goodsell

So I think that puts the issue to rest, no?

No I wasn't planning of having him go still. In light of our email exchange I'm convinced that if he was IG and there was something still there to get he wouldn't have responded as he did.

But if anyone strongly feels I should still send my dad to go look I'll try to have him go later on...

Belle, I agree with you that he's OOG. The whole point of viral marketing is for it to spread. I think what spreads faster than a virus is fear and suspicion.

I think there's no real mole, I'm almost convinced, that Them are giving us false hints, which will spread the blindness..

REALLY good point.. first Them said: working together is the clue

but how that should work, if we suspect everybody to be someone, who will harm us..

Exactly..... by making some of us " players " become "infected" it forces us to work together and use proxies. All within the context of the game.

Now back to work Very Happy

EDIT: Didn't mean to put those " there!

grickily posted this a short while ago from the quarantine;

Quote:
I posted the photos I got from the Flash Drive on FLickr
http://flickr.com/groups/iamblind/pool/
now there are a bunch more photos of people wearing the glasses in the pool – perhaps we need to take pictures of ourselves wearing the glasses? I am going to do that and add it to the flickr pool

which to me totally puts him in the IG category.. (unless I totally don't understand how flickr works) the pool that he posted was created/moderated by I Am Blind, and the photos of the normal people were uploaded by the mod of the pool.. anyone else see that..? (no pun intended).

Members of a Flickr group can add pics to the group pool.

ok, I think that I'm totally wrong, but my last attempt in case.. grickily posted that he uploaded 'his' photos, as he received from the flash drive to the 'link'.. then goes on to say that 'and now there are more uploaded there of people wearing glasses', but the link is to a pool moderated by I Am Blind, and the 'normal' folks were uploaded by I Am Blind.. just seems back-side first to me... and I saw no reference to that flickr account before he posted it..

ignore me if I make no sense, or missed the original link post, oh and I'm prolly ranting by now.. sorry.. >< (my limit is exceeded.. really..!? although he did create an account here today)

nvm, not that it matters either way really..

I just read one of grickily's posts in the Quarantine, and he had a good theory that those who received packages are supposed to mail pictures of themselves wearing the glasses back to Them. That explains the "normal" people in iamblind's Flickr.
