We could always try spaces with THE DIGITAL PLAGUE, or spaces without THE DIGITAL PLAGUE.
So many different ways =\

Yes, that's the problem with a puzzle like this. The parameters aren't clear at all.

We're getting closer to the truth.
Is "THE DIGITAL PLAGUE" included?

Weird. She replied to me saying the same thing she did.
She might of messed with the times or something to give a clue.

I got the same 'off grid' message. I guess we're on our own...

Punctuation has no character?
Sounds to me like we should be counting all punctuation.
I would but every time I try, I lose track after about a hundred or so...
Unless... those numbers are page numbers??

I thought about that, and I looked at my copy of the book but couldn't tell what I should do with each page.
Mariska is really starting to annoy me.

Agreed. I've gone cross-eyed and all anagrammed out!
What about the 7th character on each page?

I don't think so, why would they have "Siete" post the seventh page on the forums.
This is going in so many directions -_-

Yeah but she quoted me saying what she said:

Well what is supposed to be the connection between Mariska and Siete?

I wouldn't read too much into that Astrobear, I've received that message many times from her. It seems to me she will respond otherwise whenever she feels it is necessary.
Another small clue would be nice though... to keep this moving along.

Yea but I hate the fact that it seems like we have to ask for additional clues every step of the way...

Yeah, no wonder there only seems to be a few of us still playing along. It is the first I've been a part of like this...

My head hurts, The Electric Church was so much easier :/ But thats why we do this. We like the chalenge, i have like 20 pages left of TDP. Ive been too buisy to finish, and i had to wait for Jeff to mail me out new copies cause the ones i won got ruined in a water hazard :/ Ive stoped asking for clues, i look at the clues every night, and then every morning i check the forums. We've made progress but were not there yet. We can do this.
Me and my life partner will go over all the clues again ( again ) in the morning and see what we can find

Yeah I realize that she puts that whenever she's not going to give you a clue, it's just the fact she put that I wrote it.
Well here's a list of the possibilities the numbers could mean.
007 being the page number and each number below being (x) on that page
X being:
Word Number
Character Number
Letter Number
Punctuation Number
007 being the seventh (y) on each page number
Y being:
Word
Character
Letter
Punctuation
Also, dante figured out this:
Quote:
Since the title of this new page is "It takes character to persist in the face of such odds.", I thought that may I should count characters instead. Not counting white spaces, I got:
SOREEDEAFDGSVD
Again, nothing.
Maybe 'odd' characters? I dunno.
So it also might have something to do with odd numbers/characters/whatever.
-_-
Gahh, we may just be thinking too hard.
