[Video] September 29 - YouTube video from John It's got jumpy John finally posted that video he's been twittering about.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lj5B0XKYGdY
It's a tour of his dorm with an introduction to his dorm mates. It jam pack with jumpy, staticy interference pieces including a creepy disembodied floating Caitlin head. I heard some sound interference in there around the 5:27 mark around the part where he orders his pet mountain dew bottle to "stay"
I wonder if there is more to this video?

I have a feeling there is. I'm also wondering if there's a) a time portal or something in the library (although John said he was studying at the library)
b) A few things may have been edited out or rather maybe they conditioned (psychologically) to erase parts that we need to see. Meh, just theories though.

New post on 13lights.org
"Read Between The Frames"
Which I am going to assume means to try to look for kl00s in the frames that are jumpy in this YouTube video. It could also means the video on 13lights.org, though.
ETA: John mentioned something about uploading in High Quality, which apparently he did not do, but due to the YoutTube trick where you add &fmt=18 to the end of the video you can watch it in "better" quality. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lj5B0XKYGdY&fmt=18
After watching again I saw something I didn't catch before.
At the 1:33 mark a word flashes really quickly. It's hard to make out but I'll add a screen cap. I'll add more if I catch anything else.
ETA2: I didn't see any other hidden words. Uploading screen caps where we see disembodied Caitlin heads, though.

The best I can figure: ysal?h or ysal?li
Do you think the bit of the song Dead or Alive means anything?
Can someone who is talking to John over Twitter ask that he sends the unscrewed up by youtube version to them directly?

We also have John's full name...John Souleg. I'm looking it up when I'm on break from studying for my LSATs.
EDIT: I forgot his last name was Moore...maybe the John that isn't in the coma state is John Souleg.

I know you are still catching up so you are spared a trouting.
Other than the word asleep being revealed I havn't seen much else. There's a third floating Caitlin head I didn't catch before at 1:49. Then there is a bloop at the 2:14 mark that I can't make out clearly. It's on top of the notepad on his desk.
But if you join Vimeo, you can download the file, which I have done. Anyone know of a video analysis application that supports DIVX?
ETA: Okay I found an app that lets you scroll frame-by-frame through DIVX movies. It's helping find nuggets here and there.
I found this one just now.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
It says "world" if I'm not mistake at the 2:17 mark.

There are actually about twenty or so bloops scattered throughout the video, not counting the text or the Caitlin heads. I spent a while awkwardly trying to take Youtube screenshots of them last night, using the time-honored method of keeping an eye out for dropped frames and spasmodically pounding the spacebar whenever I saw one.
This revealed a single image that seemed to slowly resolve itself across multiple bloops. It starts out as just a horizontal and vertical bar across the screen, but eventually resolves to Untitled-1.jpg down below. I'm thinking this is either a) a particular image from John Moore's dreams/surroundings or b) a defect in John Souleg's camera that shows up whenever he points it at a bright light, and if it turns out to be the second, I will be v. v. pissed.
Later on (during that excruciating Rock Band scene), there are a few more frames thrown in there which seem to be highly washed-out images of people. Characters from John Moore's lab?
I found a shareware program called AbleVideo Snapshot which lets you take screenshots from DIVX files, so I'll keep hacking away at this to see if there's anything I missed.

The app I posted above basically points out where in the video a "stop" has been placed. Here is screen caps of every single "stop" I found in the video. Some have text and others don't. I circled where I saw text.

FYI - if you don't want to join Vimeo or be forced to view the movie as DivX, you can use something like Sothink Web Video Downloader for Firefox:
http://www.web-video-downloader.com/
It will let you save the original FLV file. You could also just dig the FLV file out of your browser's cache. After grabbing the file, I use something like Media Player Classic which will let you frame advance through the movie and also lets you export screenshots directly from application.

New video From John's Twitter
The only thing that sticks out immediately is the video tags.
