SAILBOAT!!!

Anyways...

If you order the letters with the numbers you get "htmlassembleincourier"

Which is probably a clue to figuring out what we just figured out.

It's a little journey through what looks like the tunnels under CMH. Moving along in the dark after looking around the cameraperson meets someone with a flashlight, who then appears to beat him to death or get beaten to death as it looks like blood covers the lens.

Can anyone see anything in the last group of letters? I'm not very good at stereograms, but I think I see the letter "S" a couple times.

It's the assembled sterogram from the puzzle that leads us to see.html.

It says: "SEE"

Go figure. Wink

From the video at see.html

it's a face, at the bottom left, I'm pretty sure. This is right at the end, before the redness.

BTW, I think it isn't blood, but a glow from behind/between the two objects (remember the face/vase optical illusion? The red is the vase portion).

*typing from an internet cafe* F___ F______ F___ F___!!!!

My computer decided to totally explode yesterday. So, of course, you guys get a huge awesome puzzle and the chance to get mail! F___!

Incidentally, I probably won't be able to update the guide for a few days. I'll put another IN PROGRESS thing for this puzzle.

Sheesh! I should just stay away from the game at all times. That way you'd get something good every hour!

Seriously, though, you guys -rock-.

SPEC o rama

So, we ordered each stereogram line in ascending order according to the number associated with it and got SEE and see.html.

But that doesn't really address the numbers to my satisfaction, since they could just as easily have been ordered 1,2,3.... Unless the decimals and whatnot were just a distraction to make it harder, we're missing something. Notice that each number, before AND after the decimal place is under 26. That screams number=letter to me. So here is my table of letters translated from the numbers, in ascending numerical order (which is also ascending alphabet order in the left column):

Code:

a m
b g
c d
d a
e b
f i
g e
h w
i k
j c
k b
l l
m f
n o
o h
p y
q a
r n
s v
t p
u u

j c strikes me since it's the Dread House guy's name.

There are ciphers that use letter pairings like this. I'm researching... Anyone want to anagram?

Edit: The possibility exists that this is a digraph cipher or a Playfair cipher, but I don't see anything that resembles or hints at a key. Am I missing something?

These would be the digraphs:
Code:
am bg cd da eb fi ge hw ik jc kb ll mf no oh py qa rn sv tp uu

forwards from 13.html

I got sent to http://www.dreadhouse.com/5421888.html - 5.2, it says, letter in title is a, here's the code:

zbgY]WaKLjhNzbgY]WaKLjhNbgY]WaKLjhhNbgYWaKLjhhNbggYWaKjhhNbggYWaaKjhhNbggYWaaKjh

I looked through, couldn't find anyone else listing this particular page. Thought maybe it would help.

(edit) - strike that - found that particular link upon a third look - third time's a charm, eh?

Was anyone able to read the graffitti that's on the wall about a third of the way through? I tried, but it's kind of blurry. Maybe someone could sharpen it?

Oh, by the way, imo, in the end it looks as if the cameraperson is being beaten to death by a flashlight.

Well, tweaking the image a little (sharpening, negative and upping the contrast slightly) makes it look like the word "moth" is there, but I'm not sure.
