re 414 and 415, they're both again physical cards that differ from the online unlocked cards but use the same code (assuming we find physical 414's and 415's in north america).

I've updated the wiki page.

IIRC, we've got physical cards for:
#2, 400 (this or 416), 401 (this or 413), 402, 403, 404, 406, 407, 410, 413 and 416

Virtual cards unlocked:
#404, 405, 406, 407, 410, 413, 414, 415, 416

The physical card unlock:
#400=416
#401=413
#402=415
#403=414
#404=404
#2=405 (moved the 2 here because Borders is US, so this may be the only '405' card)
#406=406
#407=407
#410=410
#413=413
#416=416

are those facts right? are those all the reported 400+ physical cards?

Tips I have:

  • keep the space bar held down.
  • try to kill one in the first few seconds - he never shoots right off, and I can usually get 1 down before he gets his sights on me.
  • you get 1000 points for each kill. if you can't seem to kill the anti-aircraft gun (level 3), then on level 1, kill the guy and then crash. You get the 1000 points, and stay on level 1.
I have been able to get 3000 points from level 1, and 2000 points from level 2 that way, and never see the A-A gun. When you get your 5000 points, you have to finish the level. I've scored 9000 a few times due to having to finish the level.
  • Also, when you have the 2 planes - aim for the weaker one.
You go from no smoke, to white smoke, to black smoke, to shot down. Killing the weaker plane means you have only 1 plane shooting back at you.

if you need practice - here is the original

Janus Dogfight clue

Thank You!!

There were no instructions, so I had no idea what to do- let alone know which plane was mine. Smile

Ok - the new 400+ list is then:

Card 404: The Spy Kit - G69CTWHC9T - Walmart - no physical card confirmed
Card 405: Surveillance - G69CKR3K9T - Borders - physical card confirmed in US (listed as #2)
Card 406: Natalie's Strategy - G69DMK929T Independent Booksellers - physical card confirmed in US
Card 407: The Underdogs - G69GJPMM9T - Hastings - physical card confirmed in US
Card 410: Natalie's Strategy - G69D22369T - no physical card confirmed
Card 413: Ninja Boy - G69K3JP99T - Angus & Robertson - physical card confirmed in Australia
Card 414: Clue Hunter's Best Friend - G69JTFHR9T - Angus & Robertson - physical card confirmed in Australia
Card 415: The Pint-Sized Assasin - G69GJ9TF9T - Angus & Robertson - physical card confirmed in Australia
Card 416: The Bookworm - G69GF9HN9T - Angus & Robertson - physical card confirmed in Australia

For those in Australia who have access to Angus & Robertson, I would be willing to trade physical versions of 405 (#2) and 407 (and maybe 406 if I can get some more of them) for 413-416. Send me a message (TheRealPip).

My surveillance camera codes are 22FC46MJX2 and 237DRWJJX2... use them and pass them on!

In regard to a trade, I'm sure I can get multiple copies of the promotional cards to send off (if anyone wants some just post here).

Automatic Cards

Has anyone noticed that, on activation of your account, you get multiple automatic cards?

I have two theories for this:

    Theories for automatic cards

[*] We need some of those cards to access a big secret (possibly a clue).
[*] They are there so we can have them linked from our inbox.

Does anyone have any different automatic cards?

I have

Gervais Raul Lufbery (sp?)
Marie Curie
Young Grace
Sidney George Reilly
Heinrich Heinrichson
Annie Oakley

I think it's to get our appetite wet to buy more cards and to understand what will happen when we put codes in. For example Young Grace has information for the first puzzle and Heinrich Heinrichson has a puzzle to solve.

I am interested. I can either trade 405 (card #2 physically) and/or 407. I also might be able to get more 406. I would also buy them for a few bucks US if you would rather that.

You can send me a message via this board.

 Trade of cards

It would be ok if you just traded me the cards - however, I wont want to trade the cards if I already have them, so send me any trade offers to:

kirsh_joshuaSPLAThotmail.com

and first come best dressed I guess.

Card combinations...

Greetings all,

I am guessing that we are approaching the end of our "training" (I am thinking Thursday next week should be the last day... or if not then a week from Thursday). So, I have been doing a bit of research into how we are going to get clues (most of which came from the FAQ section and Prize rules).

So far, I have got the follwoing ways to unlock clues:

  • There will be 1 clue for each book (for Book 1, it seems this was solving card 3 that came with book 1).
  • You will be able to combine cards to get clues
  • Completing missions (possibly using cards that we have to unlock secret areas that may or may not open the door to a clue)

This got me thinking about the second item. What card combinations do you think are valid. I will start the ball rolling with one:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
#46 Poison Ring
#47 Snake Charmer
(plus maybe an Lucian Agent or Founder if those two alone don't do it)

I have some others, but lets see if we can get the ball rolling. If noone responce, I will list the rest I have.

1st clue

How did you unlock the first clue box. I don't know how to get the box open. I could use the help! Thanks.

Sad

Bummer. I still don't have the 6 cards. After reading a library copy of Maze of Bones, I've decided that I will continue to borrow the next 9 books from my local library while getting the digital cards from Scholastic. I have sent a mail-in entry to Scholastic but I'm still waiting for them to send me the code(s). I eagerly check the mail everyday but so far nothing. Sad Is anyone else doing this too (i.e., mailing SASE to Scholastic for digitized cards instead of spending $$ on the book and/or card pack)? I'm just curious to see if anyone has received anything yet so that (1) I know it works and (2) I can stop feeling so anxious.

LOL. This whole 39 clues thing makes me anxious. Very Happy
