When will your pills be avalible? As I have been in the market for something for a family member for a long time virtue is not their..shall we say "Strong" point. Its just I've treid Bromine and this does not seem to work, what will your pills do and are there any noticable side effects. And would sending his kids to a camp be good for them, what would they do to improve themselves.

Dear Jack,

Thank you so much for writing to inquire about Passionix. We hope to have it available to the public in the next month or two. I am sorry you are having problems with some of your family members. I shall add them to my prayers.

As for Camp Francis, it is a wonderful place to send any child who has behavior problems. I have seen more than one troubled youth reformed at the camp. I even had my sister send her son there. Look for a video of Camp Francis on our website in the coming weeks!

Greetings Jack,

We have worked long hours and prayed even more to put our plans into action. With God's grace, Camp Francis is turning young minds to God's work, while we help thousands more with our outreach programs. We have every hope and prayer that our upcoming Virtual Virtues campaign will spread the Good Word to even more people.

Then our work can truly begin.

God Bless,
Pastor Bryson Grace

When the point about the camp was brought up I couldnt resist. I just sent an email, still waiting for the reply.

Hello there, I rescently came upon your website and I have to say that I am very interested in your organization. What particularily interested me was the Camp Francis program. I have a daughter in her mid teens that just gives me more trouble each day. I love her very much but I think that she has lost faith in God. I think that Camp Francis is just what she needs, but being a mother who really worries about her daughter I was wondering if you can tell me what sort of activities go on in the Camp. What sort of techniques are used to put these teenagers on the right path? Please give me as much detail as possible so I can truly know if this is appropriate for her.

Thank you, and God bless.

There's a second site! Savannah Merks has written to the Citizens of Virtue Facebook group:
Quote:
God bless you all and remember to check out the Virtual Virtues campaign starting on Wednesday. You can find it on our website! www.citizensofvirtue.com I can't wait for it to begin! It is a far cry from the so-called Christianity found at www.jesuswantstosavechristians.com

This looks like the product the Citizens of Virtue ARG is promoting...
Anyone going to be at Passion:Vancouver tomorrow?

Looking for Xander Greene

I found this in my mailbox today:

Betreff Looking for Xander Greene

Hello,

You don?t know me, but I?m e-mailing you anyway in hopes you know my nephew, Xander Greene. A website you go to is one of the ones bookmarked on his old computer, and your e-mail was available? I?m not the best with computer etiquette, so forgive me if I?m intruding. Gardening?s more my speed (see my website www.fruitofthegarden.com if you want to see!).

Xander hasn?t been checking his band?s myspace page or answering e-mails recently. He got involved with a group that claims to be right-thinking, but has a bit too much right and a bit too little thinking as far as I?m concerned.

Please let me know if you have any information on Xander. I?m very worried about him.

Sincerely,
Lila Greene
KJV SoS ?henna?

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I had to look up "KJV SoS ?henna?" and found out it's the the Bible, King James Version, Songs of Solomon.
In the Songs of Solomon there's mention of "henna blossoms" and google tells me that some sources refer to them as "camphire".

On Lila's page there's a plant search tool. When you enter "camphire" you end up on this page: http://www.fruitofthegarden.com/TheGardenWall/ where Lila asks for help in finding her nephew Xander who joined the Citizens of Virtue and then disappeared. She also set up a message-board http://www.fruitofthegarden.com/TheGardenWall/MessageBoard.aspx where we can discuss matters with her. I posted on the board and told her to expect some more visitors.

Does anybody care to join? Smile

Re: Looking for Xander Greene

If you go to jesuswantstosavechristians.com, you can see a link to "Help Save the Seven".

Open that up and you get a grid of squares with different "notches in them" - I'm betting it's a code of some sort?

Also, the source has a single empty HTML div with the id "camphire".

Holy edit batman: I never realized that Jesus Wants To Save Christians is a real book. So, I'm guessing this ARG is a promotion for the book, especially since it's tying into the game with the whole camphire thing.

Very, very Cool Trillian--I have so bookmarked that msg board page and also nice stuff, Pearson and redct who wrote:

Maybe there's something in the HOLON Alphabet designed for the Jesus Wants to Save Christians book.

thanks amandel! Embarassed

Lila lists the book on her site under "What I'm reading now". There's also mention of the "cool cover" and a link to the alphabet: http://jesuswantstosavechristians.com/alphabet/

Good find amandel! I have no facebook-account, so I can't see what's there. Anything interesting?

I've been looking at the code on the http://jesuswantstosavechristians.com/help.aspx and it spells fruitofthegarden dot com input camphire

Since the site seems to be game-related and the book really exists, does this verify that it is promotion for the book, just as redct suggested?

Pearson, that really seems plausible. Although I've got no idea what they expect us to do with this information. Perhaps someone who lives in the area can contact Lila on her board???

So, I got a reply. I dont know if this is going anywhere but only time will tell.

Quote:
Dear Grace,

May I first say what a lovely name you have? We are so sorry to hear about your troubles with your daughter. The temptations in the world today are many, and it is so very difficult for parents to shield their children from all of them. That is one of the main reasons Pastor Bryson has developed our new Virtual Virtues campaign starting this Wednesday. It is also why our research scientists have worked night and day to create Passionix. You will be amazed at how well it works!
Camp Francis is another valuable tool the Citizens of Virtue has created. I was just there a couple of weeks ago to film a video for the Virtual Virtues. It is amazing to see just how the counselors at Camp Francis can turn extremely troubled children -- even children like your daughter who have rejected our Lord -- into God-fearing, parent-respecting children of Jesus.

Camp Francis takes modern distractions away from these children, wrapping them in a sheltered coccoon where they are no longer exposed to the kind of influences that have caused them to become less than the best they can be. In this isolation, our counsellors patiently nurture and teach the children, alternating between the a gentle hand and a firmer touch. Exercise, good food, prayer, chores, counselling, and more are all part of the deeply integrated program at Camp Francis.
You will have an opportunity to learn more about Camp Francis in the second week of our Virtual Virtues series. And, please, if you are interested in having your daughter attend our camp, let us know.

Yours in Faith,

Anna Gimble

In return I replied with the following.

Quote:
Dear Anna,

This camp seems wonderful and just what my daughter needs. I am very, very interested in having her join. Anna, what should my next step be?

Thank you in advance.

Rob Bell! I know Rob Bell! (well, not personally)

He's the face of the NOOMA video series. Great series. Very well done.
If he's a co-author of the book, then I have high hopes. And it's comforting knowing he's associated with JWTSC, rather than CoV Razz

I think I may follow this one a little more ... Smile

eta: yeah, he's credited to nooma in the 'about the authors' section.
Don Golden's also associated with Mars Hill church... Nooma and Mars are both fairly contemporary, forward-thinking and relevent churches... makes sense they could be behind this campaign.

I agree, I deciphered it without knowing about the typeface, too. So, I go to the main page and input camphire in the plant search box, which takes me to http://www.fruitofthegarden.com/TheGardenWall/ -- so it's all circular so far, unless I missed the order of events above.

Would someone like to suggest an IRC channel for this discussion? The first virtue launch date is quickly approaching, and I can only imagine how busy it will all become soon.

edit: ok, someone in chat* suggested #virtue so I registered it. I cannot really moderate during my work hours, so I may appoint a few default ops for now -- contact me if you should be on or off that list.

*chat being our usual irc.chat-solutions.org also accessible via http://www.chat-solutions.org/chat/unfiction.html

At Lila Greene's Msg Board "Mardeaux" posted a MySpace link to Xander's band which is a very interesting dead end atm.

Also, Savannah Merks friended me on FB without my joining the CoV Group there. Her profile is what one would expect except that she was a Vassar girl which gave me the giggles bigtime. She sent a lil note:
Quote:
I'm so glad to see a like-minded person here. You will be amazed by how effective Passionix is. I have seen it work miracles already!

Passionix's chemical formula (supramethylphenidate) appears similar to Ritalin. Thinking it's not wild spec that they're dosing the teens with what should be a prescription only substance. Yet Lila mentions that Xander is 29 years old so maybe his disappearance isn't Passionix related? Dunno
