 		The circle on the main VITS page represents the child grace, whom echo said in an email to amandel is in a different place.

Thursday may be important because it is Yom Kippur, the holiest day of the year (the Day of Atonement) for those of the Jewish faith.

Something Echo has done is making it seem like he must be the last to go. Though, I still wonder about the motives. I wonder where the disease comes from...who it was. Who it is...not to detract but after the Grace thing from distortion...one has to wonder just who we're helping.

 		Got two emails from Echo:

I asked about Mona's status and if D was following her still wrote:
moved to one

ready to enter door

I asked if anyone was still loyal to D wrote:
two speak to him

one bows down


So I guess I was right about Mona travelling through several rings. The message about people still talking to D worries me.

i had emailed echo to ask what was on the fourth ring and oddly enough i got a reply back but from the leech

Hordes.

that one word worries me is it hordes of good spirits or the bad kind.

I had wondered that, about who Echo is and who D is. It seems fairly obvious that D is intentionally impeding progress (as with Mona), so I feel like he is clearly not good (though I did have the thought that he might be a spirit that's just been stuck there so long he got kind of crazy, and thus potentially saveable. I'm not sure I trust Echo's assessment of 'there is no gray'). I'm pretty sure Mona was good, just held back by frustration, so since D was blocking her and Echo was trying to help her, that clarifies sides a bit. As for Echo, I feel like we have no choice other than to trust him because he's our informer, but yeah I would like to know his motivation.

 		i hate to sound like the nay Sayer, but i have looked at the spirits like this,

Mona=good but with major frustration to mortals for the condition of her burial.

Dracula=Evil, he has tried to consume mona he has assaulted us with his abusive comments,

Echo=i hate to say it but echo is in the grey area for me. like he is the neutral who is trying to get in the good.

Margret,= dunno yet we have had little to no contact with her right?

now if some one would bare with me and my ranting, perhaps echo is like shodan in System shock 2. he is our benfactor but he is either useing our aid to further his own end or something else.

 		That's how I feel about each of them, too. I don't necessarily feel like Echo is manipulating us, though I recognize that he could be. If he is helping people as a form of penance, maybe he's just taken it upon himself to make real world contacts who can do things in the real world to help, like sending letters to people about Mona/Byberry. Mona obviously couldn't do what she needed for closure on her own, and therefore needed us-- Echo went and got us to help. Really, it could be as simple as that. But there is also a strong possibility that he has a lot more going on than we know about, so I guess we'll just see how it unfolds.

Heh, I hear you there. It's the one thing that Echo has said that really bothered me. I mean, I basically see him as a grey... even if he is helping people and trying to make up for something in his past, he is likely to be doing so largely to assuage his own guilt over whatever. Of course, I never see the world in black and white anyway.

Distortion was a person...he lost his soul but to what? The question is...what is further down the chain? And Echo is fallen...he regrets something. I still think Echo's purpose in all of this, his final choices are still unclear.
