Why settle for a shirt when you could wear "Citizens of Virtue Chaste Boxer Shorts"? I'm disappointed that they don't sell lingerie! Crying or Very sad

Apologies if this doesn't fit the current paths being followed (VENT, the Myspace pages, etc.), but I just noticed something that could be significant down the line. It may have been obvious to others before, but I don't remember reading it in a previous post.

The CoV logo is a rainbow with the correct seven colors ... but in the wrong order. I'm convinced that color-coding is going to be important at some point; perhaps the rainbow logo will give the order in which to put the pieces of information we get from each week?

Anybody got anything on the new inspiration of the day? It seems like it's a tie in to the Letters from Beyond the Gate page. Not sure how though. It's strangely worded, so there's gotta be something there.

biola, I can't find that text in any version, let alone TNIV...
perhaps it's a paraphrase and we should find the orignal verse?

I was going to look it up at Biiible.com, but apparently they don't exist anymore. Too bad, great place. Anyone know of a place similar?

Yeah, Biblegateway is another one you can use. That inspiration is more or less a paraphrase as far as I can tell. Exodus 22 is basically the chapter about stealing and possession of property. The first half sounds like it could be paraphrase, like I said, but the second half is total jibberish. There's nothing like that in the Scriptures. That part sounds like the real riddle to me.

maybe one of the letters at Beyond the gate?

At Lila's msg board (FoTG) a "Jeremy" and myself were posting early this morning about these odd scripture misquotes and he mentioned then a Beyond the Gate connection.

Thinking all day about what he posted lead me to wonder if "six groups in the field" and "you(r) will (to) leave it behind at the gate" aren't part a continuing, daily msg or some instructions. Good riddle atm.

What I think we're working on...

Here's a quick hit list of what I believe we're working on:

Xander's New Myspace page:

http://www.myspace.com/xandersragtimeband
The temperance music clue leads here...what to do with it?

Daily Inspiration:

Whoever steals from another
has stolen from God. He deems
any man who desires foreign
gold as desiring foreign ideas.
Second to none, your Lord can
take heart in your will to leave
it behind at the gate, casting
off what you have left.

Does this relate to the Letters From Beyond The Gate section?

Yesterday's Inspiration seems to have been hacked by whoever hacked the Temperance music section, as the inspiration exacted at least as a confirmer of the music clue to Xander's new myspace page.

Vents: The Camp Francis section includes a letter from Tabitha with an awful lot of "vents" in it - where is this leading?

Music from CoV Front Page (Temperance): Done (or partially so - at least, something came of it) - Led us to Xander's myspace page above.

Endnotes in Jesus Wants to Save Christians: Done (gave some plot background, that 7 people (the Seven) have contacted Rob Bell about helping them get out of the CoV. Also hints towards the fruitofthegarden clue on the jesuswantstosavechristians.com site.

btp311--Nice find yet the Whois Search suggests it's not IG.

Xander's Ragtime Band

I'm starting to think that there's something in the source of the myspace page. Here's the image source

http://img.freecodesource.com/myspace-layouts/images/layouts/1222222507-613-0.gif

and then there's this:

Quote:

i dunno what that means, but it looked like it didn't belong. Haven't done source in awhile, but that looks fishy.

Beyond the Gate Names

Has there been a discussion of the two names of the letter writers on the Beyond the Gate page? I can get "acronym [roc]" by anagramming the first one. Anyone else try?
