Homage Puzzle Design
Help me out, bros.

So okay. Hello all. It's been a while since I posted like, 15 times back during 1-18-08, and I'm once again in ARG mode. (Haha. This makes me sound so lame) Anyway, I have a huge project in development, just like everyone else here, but that's not what I'm here for. I'm sort of honing my chops as far as ARG design goes, and to sort of practice before I really get down to business, I've been designing and running cute little christmas-themed half-arg/half-puzzle trail things over the last few years for about 6 of my friends. This year, I'm doubling the number of players from 6 to 12, and I've really committed to pulling out all the stops. This is gonna sort of be my last hurrah before I really let my social life evaporate for a little while and get busy on this HUGE project I'm designing, and I kind of wanted to do some little homages to puzzles and ideas gone by for my own sort of shits and giggles. So far, I've divided the players into two groups, and as such provide two separate like, opening puzzles. The one I've done is a six-part homage to EDOC laundry, where each of the six players will receive a shirt with a coded message on it, but the keys on the inside will correspond with a shirt other than theirs. Like, they'll find the key to their shirt's code in another player's shirt. Now, I want to do something like this for the other group, but I'm having trouble coming up with something else so self-contained and still workable on such a small scale. I figured everyone here is probably ARG fanboys, and maybe someone might have an idea. Thanks a bunch.

You could take a page from Eldritch Errors and have a watercolor ripped up into six pieces.

Finally! A response! Good idea, man! I may actually do just that!
