I've never done the ARG thing before, so I'm curious: Do these random fishing expeditions -- asking a character for her favorite number, or asking about the accounting firm, or whatever -- ever provide useful information?
My request isn't imo random and ,yaha, it's just a normal part of ARGing to interact with IGs when possible.

I'm still an ARG newby but maybe this thought process will inspire something.
I went back and read the letters behind the gate looking for clues into Inspiration #2. In the second letter, two words stuck out to me. They are written "sucome" and "afore" in the letter. The first is misspelled and the second misused. I took each word and compared it with the proper words "succumb" and "before", crossed out any duplicate letters and was left with
O E C U B B E A
I ran this through an anagram solver but came up with nothing.
What made me think I might have been on a trail were 1)The words that stuck out 2)The 2ND letter (second to none) and 3) The letters left behind.
Maybe someone else can think of another way to use these words.

Pokemon and Digimon are also misspelled (as "Pokiman" and "Digiman").

From the full post:

This picture shows him with one of the albums from his favorite band.
It's clearly a Beatles picture, but it doesn't resemble any of their album covers that I can find. Still digging...

Ditto what projectyl said. I google image searched all the beatles album covers and single covers and while some have them in suits like that, none have them arranged that exact way. Then I went through all wikipedia listings of US/UK albums and also got no matches.

the profile link isn't showing anything for me. IE or Firefox... anyone have the direct link to the image?
also, revsleestax, JWTSC.com is a group on facebook, where Savannah Merks posted linking to citizensofvirtue. JWTSC.com is also a 'trailhead' - people who go there for the book will find the link in to fruitofthegarden and eventually citizensofvirtue

AHA! I knew we weren't done with Xander's message trail!
Check it out - every line in "Facade" has a word that shows up in exactly one Beatles song:
Quote:
SERGEANT PEPPER'S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND I don't need an audience with God
HEY JUDE I just need a gentle hand at rest upon my shoulder
ELEANOR RIGBY I don't need a wedding with the Lord
CARRY THAT WEIGHT I don't need those celebrations just for being older
ACROSS THE UNIVERSE I could feel an endless sense of pride
NOWHERE MAN If I could just get my head back under my command
COME TOGETHER I'll keep this roller-coaster deep inside
??? My tiny hideaway is in the palm of my hand
Chorus:
PAPERBACK WRITER There's no sense in clinging on to God
YESTERDAY He knows you're hanging on and sees right into your facade
ROCKY RACCOON I am not equipped to make a call
I DON'T WANT TO SPOIL THE PARTY If my disappointment makes it hard for me to lead
GIRL All my promises they sound so small
HELP Just some independence is the one step that I need
TOMORROW NEVER KNOWS I give my existence to the light
MAXWELL'S SILVER HAMMER A holy salve of medicine will take away the doubt
YOU WON'T SEE ME No more time engaged in acts of shame
STRAWBERRY FIELDS FOREVER This misunderstanding is the thing he cares about
Chorus
(PAPERBACK WRITER and
YESTERDAY again)
INNER LIGHT, THE I've spent my days just traveling along
NORWEGIAN WOOD I've crawled from under rocks and lost myself in the debris
GET BACK I never knew a place that I belonged
SHE'S LEAVING HOME And now I wonder how I treat myself so thoughtlessly
SHE CAN COPYRIGHT MY SPYINGS? What?

nice work!
perhaps SHE CAN COPYRIGHT MY SONGS (not 'Inner Light', and don't copy the chorus lines again)
ETA: traveling = "O ne After 909"

Nice job indeed. To finish it off, "hideaway" is in OCTOPUS'S GARDEN.
