I think they are updating the sites - I can't load any of them (except saveludo.)

Edit: False alarm. I guess the servers were just down or something. Crying or Very sad

Well, maybe that's a good thing. It just means that the talks have gone for the whole day. It sounds like positive news to me. I just hope that the rest of the details are posted in the next few hours.

New Email!

Quote:
Greetings friends,

Our path is set and our direction is clear. Today, after lengthy discussions with the Ministry of Magic, we have reached a formal agreement: the Minister for Magic will personally see to the launch of Muggle Quidditch 2.0 if 15,000 signatures express interest in bridging the divide between the Wizarding and Muggle communities on Ludo's lastest project.

To support Ludo's cause, visit www.mugglequidditch.org and sign the Ministry's petition. Ludo must not suffer in vain. When good crosses evil, where do you stand?

May Fawkes guide our path,

V

I got this link in an email and now the page won't load. Before that I couldn't actually submit my form. Is it working for anyone else?

http://gocrosscampus.com/static/mqredirect/

Wow, 15,000 Muggles is a lot.

If anyone has a GoCrossCampus account, that would probably be a good place to get petitioners.

Edit: BTW is Personal Portkey just Potterish for password? (yay for iteration)

Edit 2: This hasn't been mentioned yet I don't think

HA! Now that is funny.

I signed up for GoCrossCampus about a month ago...had it open in another window when I clicked the link and thought I accidentally tabbed through.

I'm on Hufflepuff. Hope we get some good spawn points for the Med Centers.

Ravenclaw here. I've never played on GoCrossCampus. Don't know that I'll time and/or interest. I don't think the game will actually start until we get enough petitions. Might be a good time to practice in an active game.

The game is scheduled to start in 10 days. It says in the upper right corner.

And playing, as long as you're not the commander, only takes one sign-in per day. It's only if you want to do the wheeling and dealing that it gets time consuming.

EDIT: oh, and there's a puzzle on the GoCrossCampus page -- there's cursive writing in the MQ2.0 image circling around between the light gray and dark gray shaded areas. It's probably been said before, but it reads

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I solemnly swear that i am up to no good

New Email from Kingsly Shacklbolt

Dear Muggle Quidditch 2.0 supporters,

My shroud of secrecy has served its role and now it is time for me to proclaim loudly and openly: Ludo Bagman is in danger, and we must save him!

Half a year ago, Ludo grew frustrated and upset with the undeniable divide between the Muggle and Wizarding communities. He yearned for a outlet to bridge that gap and prove to the Ministry of Magic that Muggles are a good and trustworthy people with talents different from our own. In short time, Ludo realized the answer to his dilemma could be found on the Quidditch pitch.

Four months ago, Ludo began covertly working with GoCrossCampus, a Muggle enterprise, to produce a version of Muggle Quidditch that would show Wizards the depth of virtue and passion that Muggles possess. The game had been fully created and was expected to launch on October the 15th, until Ludo was abruptly abducted by a group of goblins with malicious intent. The Ministry of Magic has been hesitant to investigate the matter for fear of complicating the already ballooning Gringotts crisis, but that is no excuse!

The sheer extent of your support has convinced the Ministry of the gravity of Ludo's kidnapping. Your pictures, music, and videos have helped forge an agreement with the Ministry: if 15,000 Muggles sign the Ministry's petition and confirm their signature with Ludo's Muggle partner GoCrossCampus, the Minister for Magic will issue a decree to immediately find and release the mastermind of Muggle Quidditch 2.0 and launch the inaugural tournament to the public.

As always, we cannot do it without your help. Please, owl all your friends, petition on the streets, contact all your local organizations and inform them about Ludo's plight! Our numbers and our hearts must be strong to show solidarity. Help us prove our faith in Muggles to the Ministry and the entire Wizarding world.

The fate of Ludo Bagman and Muggle Quidditch 2.0 is in your hands. Will you help?

May none ever beat the unbeatable beater,
- Kingsley Shacklebolt

I saw the site, and noted that they want 15,000 people to sign. If this is a grassroots and thats a real # of petitioners they want, i dont know how they hope to achieve that kinda goal, unless they dont really expect that many and will just say that that # of people signed.

unless this isnt grassroots, and its legit, just wondering whats going on

There is already a huge amount of people from GXC signed up for the game. I was in the game chat with them last night and many don't even know about the ARG. Never even heard of an ARG for the most part.
