If you really are that worried about it though, I would suggest just buying the cards you want on Ebay. You can generally find a buy-it-now-or-best-offer auction where you can pick whatever cards you want. Most of them are offering free shipping when you buy 5 or more cards. They are asking 99 cents per card, but I was able to get my offer of 50 cents per card accepted (I wasn't asking for any rare cards) and since I was buying 7 cards, I got free shipping.

Thanks for the advice. I went ahead and bought my missing cards on ebay after the earlier disaster (see last post). What happened was he thought all codes could be re-used and thus gave me his used codes.

Ummmm...
dunno 'bout this

I mean, I gotta say im a sucker for anything with cards a book and a website that says "go here to unlock the secrets" but honestly, it's fun for about 3 hours, then it gets boring, repetitive and other things. the cards won't do me $hit, the book is really juvenile, and the missions don't give me much to do. I want something absorbing. Something that when i come home every day i look forward to playing and getting into. If you don't want that kind of involvement, then go on, play it. Also really good for younger kids

Have any of you guys had issues trading cards. I for example had traded 4 cards, e-mailed the codes and the other person suddenly tells me he has no codes, he's sorry, but thanks me for mine( they worked! ).
Any advice on what I can do or how to avoid this issue next time?

BTW if any of you are serious traders and live in the US and willing to mail the actual cards I still need 16,24,29,42,50,52 and 65.
I can trade for almost any other cards. Thanks.

Sorry to here that Nijntje. When I do a strict trade, I tell the other person I will email the codes prior to shipping and 9 out 10 have the codes prior to me giving out mine. Those I have traded with have been nice enough to do the same. When selling and trading, I wait for the cards they ship before sending the ones they traded. Unfortunately, there are a few bad apples. If I ever get caught with a bad code, I will probably go on a strict sell only policy.

The missions don't come out till the end of this week. You do realize you are still in training mode.

Just curious, has anyone tried to create 4 different accounts? Would that be technically possible?

It probably is, but you would also need 4 books to activate the first clue and maybe 4 sets of cards.

Howdy, I've been lurking here for a couple weeks and thought I'd involve myself a little bit more in all this.

Does anybody else think that there's a possibility that there's actually five family factions? You have the four main branches but there could also be the direct line, the trunk if you will. That might explain why Grace has Dan and Amy's parent's keep their mother's last name instead of taking on their dad's. Just seems like that would be a real possibility to me.

Also, if anybody has the 400 series cards for trade I have most of the cards available, though all the codes have been used. Any trades would just be for collection purposes.

I was thinking 5 or possibly 6 myself. M is at the end to unlock the door to all the secrets, not the C. M could be:

    * a stepchild that nobody recognizes or remembers being part of the family; or
    * a child that was disinherited by Luke, Jane, Katherine, and Thomas's father

Just a couple of thoughts.

well what i thought was the the M stood for the madrigals (so the madrigals could be part of the family but they are difrent in some way)who were related to the cahills somehow and then theres C which probably means cahills like the cahills need the madrigals or need to use the madrigals in a way to get the 39 clues

Just make sure that the Ebay item mentions that the Codes aren't used.

I ordered the 4x I was missing and I had no issues.

Some people do sale cards with used no. but it's mentionned in the ad.

oops...
i feel really bad

K i was really way too hard or the 39 clues. I'll give it another go when the actual missions come out. I just don't want to be known as that d1ck who criticizes things even though he doesn't know enough about them to have the right. SOrry Laughing.

Key

If you take a close look at the top of the key where the ring is, it is actually a letter C. M is also 1000 in roman numerals, which could be used later in the books as we have already seen some in the first book.
