Almost!

I've made some words, but can't find the rest!

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
If you cut the tabs off on the back, and place them at the dotted lines on the front, you get:
--------------------------
USE CAS R(oad) TO
--------------------------

--------------------------
SH(ame) ANTIDOTE
--------------------------

"CASRTO" anagrams to CASTOR as in "castor oil", but I don't think that's it.

Alternatively, I think I could have cut the tabs longer, and just folded them to the front. But doing that for the tabs on the front causes the letters to be upside down.

More

Another manipulation might give an answer:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
In addition to the above, if you cut out the front side tabs out (leaving holes) and fold the back corners backwards to line the dotted lines up with the base of where the tabs where, things now read:

USE CAS R NS TO

SHOW ANTIDOTE

The "OW" in SHOW is the "MO" in "MORALS" upside down. And the "NS" comes from flipping the "SN" in DOESN'T. However, there's a space between the R and N. If I try to move the "NS" over, a bit of an upside down E shows.

But ignoring that space, it could read: "Use C.A.'s Registered Nurses to show antidote".

Do we know a C.A.?

Hope all that made sense, because I'm taking lunch!

BTW, I'm having trouble seeing the Chastity video. I restarted my computer and it was there, but no it's back to Patience only. I may write Savannah about it.

Excellent picture!

Great picture thebruce!

I may have the answer. CAS RNs can stand for "Chemical Abstracts Service Registry Numbers". You can read about this in Wikipedia.

I tried a link from there to look up Passionix, but nothing came up. Didn't we have the names of some chemical components to Passionix somewhere? Maybe in the video (which I can't see Mad !).

I'm leaving for lunch now! I mean it this time! I'm starving!

Same Path

We've been chasing down the same path and came up with the same stuff from the picture. Unfortunately, we haven't gotten any farther. I have tried the CAS RN numbers fro all sorts of things. We used the supramethylphenidate that was from the Passionix page but since it's not real it doesn't have a number. We also tried Methylphenidate which is real but that didn't work either. Need to go home now and eat some dinner.

Good luck all

Lipogram decoding

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Lipogram done on each paragraph of the Passionix Common Questions (not brochure) reveals: google chastity and karmacist

However, googling this phrase does not lead to any hits on google. It suggests "chastity and pharmacist" which when clicked seems to only lead to prescription drug type sites. But the theme of "chastity and pharmacist" does fit with the Passionix theme.[spoiler]

There are adverse drug interactions on the secret page from the Google search -- dextroamphetamine, etc. I will try those.

EDIT:

drugs and CAS RN numbers are:

dextroamphetamine
spanish fly (cantharidin)
caffeine
epinephrine
ritalin

51-64-9 (or 51-63-8 or 1462-73-3)
56-25-7
58-08-2
51-43-4
113-45-1

there is another type of drugs mentioned but not italicized...
cannabinoids
related to marijuana
strange drug use going on
maybe Janes has been test the interactions himself....

The chemical name for Passionix is "supramethylphenidate," which of course doesn't exist. But it is really just "supra" appended to "methylphenidate" (ritalin). So Passionix is some high-powered form of ritalin. Not sure if this will be relevant later on.

In the meantime, I think tinhorn is on the right track with those CAS RNs. I'm trying to correlate the numbers to words in the secret rejection letter with little success so far. Can anyone more skilled in cryptography help with that line of reasoning?

Also, it's possible that since we're supposed to use the CAS RNs to find the antidote, we need to find the chemical name of that antidote. Maybe there are clues pointing us to its number?

well based on the transcription of the rejected Q&A's, here's the breakdown of missing letters from the paragraphs...
including the first paragraph (so 9 in total), including questions in their respective paragraphs
* the 1st, missing WZ
* the 2nd, missing JQ
* the 3rd, missing KM
* the 4th, every letter exists
* the 5th, every letter exists
* the 6th, every letter exists
* the 7th, every letter exists
* the 8th and 9th, missing JQZ

that's it.

One other thought... notice that the warning paragraph is in a monospace font and every line ends at the same place. There are 70 characters (spaces included, of course) in each line. That times six lines equals 420, which suggests a different drug altogether. Very Happy

I just sent the following to the contact email address at CoV:

Quote:
To Whom It May Concern,

Greetings in the name of the Lord! I was so happy to hear that Passionix has finally been released. I am anxious to find out more about this gift beyond the standard brochure and FAQ information. I help facilitate meetings for abstinence campaigns in the rather large city I live in (Christians Humbly Abstaining from Sex and Teaching Excellence) and would LOVE to get in contact with someone involved in the project. It would be inspiring and informative to have one of the doctors involved speak to our group. Typically, we fill up our sanctuary ( 2500 seats) at our bi-weekly evening meetings. This would be a great blessing to us and a could be worthwhile business opportunity for you.

Would it be possible to have one of your drug experts meet with us and answer some questions from teens and parents? Our church is in a Portland, OR suburb, so I am not sure if a face to face is convenient. If not, is there an email address I could contact Douglas Kressig or Zoe Johnson through to ask some more in-depth questions?

Faithfully,

Rick Lavender
CHASTE Team Leader

I'll let you know how it goes. Smile

I'm staring at those CAS RNs and pulling words and/or letters out of various texts on the Passionix site, but nothing yet.

In the meantime... I'm speculating that our friend and potential Seven member "karmacist" is in fact Douglas Kressig himself; he talks about his son in his quote on the Passionix main page.
