Hmmm... maybe sunset ISNT something we are looking for...
I mean... It would be hard for ink to be just washed off with no traces left behind (looking on the back of the brick there wasnt even a TRACE of ink)
So maybe we are missing something still? Or maybe the clue was stolen?
Really... I have no idea.
EDIT: Also, if anyone who has been to the shrine earlier... please let us know if you have found ANYTHING. We have to work together to solve this! There is no reason to horde info!

Well, I think that means that the "miracle" is still there... Or they re-planted it... I really dont know.
I'm going to try and check it out today, no promises though.

I think we need to check other sites hhhm coit tower It seems like there are a couple locations that are related to the people shown on the http://www.nonchalance.com
I 've been wanting to check coit tower as it's on the flip side of the card that had the 580 california bulding on it you know from the induction.
It talks about Lillie Hitchcock Coit and she's also on www.nonchalance.com
how many of these people are tied to a real location that we haven't looked at yet. Coit tower is open on saturady but I don't think I'll make before closing. Can anyone else make out there?

I dropped Jejpop and her friends there last night, I dont think anything was there.
Now I agree, Coit Tower will be part of the game, but not quite sure when.
The clue is still at the church... we just need to find where

We went back to the church and dug deeper and we found a cardboard box all wrapped in plastic with latin on the outside. Inside the box were all sorts of things. A die. Mardi Gras beads. A tarot card depicting the fool. A page ripped from a comic book. A little jewel box thing with a ganesh pendant thing inside. A ring. A crystal. A cross. A JFK pencil sharpener. It also contained a video (VHS tape) with a piece of masking tape that said "St. Thaddeus Miracle 1989". So we took the box since we could not very well rewrap it and place it back and watched the tape. On the tape there was about a 20 second clip of the shrine inside the church and then a flame suddenly ignites over the statue of St. Jude hovering mid air. I am supposing this is the miracle. And then it is over. That is it. There is no dialogue. It just sounds like some sermon in Latin in the background.
We translated the latin on the box as follows:
laudite of the gods eva lucienae but to sanctify to unlimited
might divine influence nonchalanti
I am going to attach images of the box and contents when my friend sends them to me from her iphone. I know this is not enough details. But they are forthcoming. And I'll put up the exact Latin, etc...

Hey liz!
GREAT FIND
How deep was the box? Was it under the brick? Anything else you noticed about the site?

Pictures of Box We took the box to watch the video and it had been all wrapped up so it seemed sort of strange to rewrap and bury it. We looked at the back of the brick and sunset was still there albeit extremely, extremely faint especially with the dirt. But what all this means in terms of a next step I really do not know.

Interesting article written by one of the nonchalants Torry Hotprune found supposedly in the Oakslander, Vol II Summer 2003 pg 34-35.
http://www.oaklandish.org/TALES/OAKSLANDERvol2.pdf
The magazine also was mentioned in a blog post by a Katy St Clair back in Jan 2003, listing www.nonchalance.org as the place to view the magazine, which of course is no longer true:
http://www.eastbayexpress.com/music/there__there__there/Content?oid=284516
Perusing www.oaklandish.org, one finds a variety of tee-shirts for sale with the tree of life symbol on them.
I am continually amazed at the loads of info found on this institute dating back to 2003. While I understand that blog posts can be back dated, it's still pretty neat and adds a cool creepy layer to everything. I haven't been able to find anything previous to that.
Just wanted to share.
