Thanks for making the trek faeryqueen! Has anyone tried the overlay on the table of letters? The scheme on /visitors might coincide as well...

Good job you guys! Having a crack at the /visitors code against the chart on /vindicated127 - nothing yet, except for having figured out that if each letter/symbol is a pair (on the /visitors code) then each letter can be found in each symbols corresponding column.

I thought the left to right arrows might mean that the pairs should be made up of letters and symbols at opposite ends to each other on the code (i.e. symbol one would be paired with letter 28 ), but that idea doesn't work since letter 27 'T' doesn't feature in the second symbols column. No idea what to do with what I have just yet.

ok, well I'm considering discontinuing the wiki (or at least pointing people to sites/forums) - it's not really being kept up, events are fairly linear, and also kind of intended to be experienced on an individual basis... especially with the latest "because you found this, print this" page.. Dunno

Fair play - with this thread being relatively concise a new player could easily get up to speed. I was wondering if you had any thoughts on the code though?

That's such a weird notion!

I thought wikis were naturally quite excellent archives of experiences that have been played, as well as being a useful alternative to players who are not forum-savvy and wish to play or re-play portions of an experience.

I'm sure if someone else wanted to take it over and update it, thebruce wouldn't have an issue... right? Smile

Especially since wikis are intended to be COMMUNITY updated stuff - if the community isn't updating, then maybe there isn't a need...

well... if it's not being used... and it's not being updated... then it's just a site with out of date info that no one looks at. Yes, I watch the traffic.

You're more than welcome to step up and help keep it up if you like.
It's not my (or anyone's) "responsibility" to keep a wiki active and up to date...
The game seems to be playing just fine in the forum (and likely wherever anyone else may be playing). Also, a game shouldn't require an oog forum. I'm sure the game (as the creators certainly had planned it) can do just fine without an inactive wiki, if indeed it is discontinued.
Wierd notion indeed. Confused

Doesn't make the planned experience any less awesome or unique, which this one, IMO, is accomplishing.

So I went to bed being too lazy to print out the lyrics and lay them over the CD tonight thinking I'd do it today. I underestimated E.Go's brilliance (and forgot I posted a pic of the CD). Good job E.Go!

It seems like the Derby show might be endgame but we won't know for sure until we get the code figured out. I stared at it for a while last night without being able to make any sense of it. I will do some more staring though...

I just wanted you to know that as someone who is new to ARGs at all and who is trying to participate in this one first, the wiki was very helpful and somewhat easier to read. The thread is short here, but the wiki is still helpful.

I'm happy to help list updates on it, if you would like the help; I'm on leave due to illness, so I have a fair amount of free time.

go for it! no need to ask. don't worry about formatting or anything either - I usually skim over updates and fix'emup if they can use it. And, the only way to learn is to do Wink
glad to have you on board in the arg community =)

Since this ARG is accessible in non-traditional ways, and since the first phase seems like it is going to be a continuous beginner's-level game for people who may be totally unfamiliar with the genre, I think the more information resources, the better. I will also help with the wiki updates, starting next week, after the deadlines and projects I'm facing at work are expected to greatly ease up.

Oh gosh, that's not what I meant. There's just so many trails and guides out there, gently moldering away, becoming more and more out of date, becoming all muzzy and fuzzy and sepia-toned - perhaps gently snoring! - that I was a bit surprised, is all!

My words were not meant as metaphorical superglue to keep your hand firmly affixed to the Tome of All ARG Rules (hint: nonexistent) making you swear to keep it forever. It just sounded like you were gonna delete it outright if no one said "oh hey no hey like I love that wiki page so much I wanna marry it." That's all!

As you were, fine ladies and gents!
