Metastasis
All updates regarding the Metastasis puzzle

Just figured since we've reached a new stage, we'd start a new thread.... first task: getting the rest of those deaddrops....

Well, it seems there's only one left unreported. Chicago and Boston were picked up by members, Denver and LA were missed, and DC's status is unknown. Someone needs to get moving.

Another thing to note is that we have 4 dead drops already entered into Metastasis and 8 associated documents/pieces.

They don't seem to be coherent with one another, though, other than the fact that the imagery is the same.

Should we start digging into them? Or go by the rule that "if it doesn't smack us in the face, then it's probably not a game clue"? I mean, considering that we already know that more dead-drops will be revealed tomorrow... should we even assume we're meant to find anything other than the video from these documents?

other than starting to piece together the comic strip (which i don't think we can do yet) i can't think of anything we could glean off these random images... (though the video was a good find)

Who's to say you were the first person to make it there?

Gardeners aren't the most reliable informants, you know.

So, yeah, glad to see that this is apparently really active again, at least for the week. Unfortunately, I was able to register but can't get anything to load after i click login. It jumps to that "game is loading" index card, and then my browser gets an error trying to load one of the pieces and it gets stuck. So, I guess I'm out of the game. Looks like our theories about Cassie hooking up with AAA were right though, glad to see that. Have fun with this.

I wasn't able to get the login page. All I get is the visuals of the microscope etc, but nothing interactive.

I'm not sure I understand the scoring for the leaderboards. I'm pretty sure that time, number of attempts and number of phases affects your score, but that can't be all. Does completing chains give you a higher score? I set a pretty damn good record on experiment # 9 (3 attempts, 14 phases, 48 seconds) but it still only landed me on the 22nd spot on the leaderboard! What gives?

yeah, I think you can get more points in a longer game as well... you might lose time bonus, but if you keep it going for a long time, you might be able to get a lot more points? *shrug*
