[OT] We need stuff to buy!! or We need a catchphrase!! So far, I've bought a mug or something from all the ARG's I've played, and I'm a bit dissapointed in the lack of Urban Hunt swag. There are those shirts and things for sale through TT (has anyone ordered anything?), but none of them are really anything I'd want. I was kinda thinking about this while I was looking through the introductions thread over in "various and sundry" and I saw this quote in Sequoya's post "Our game involves hot guys called Ron!" Not only did it make me laugh out loud, but it got me thinking that this game has yet to have the obligatory "We need a catchphrase" thread....and who knows, maybe some of them could end up on a mug....
So what do you guys think?

I want to buy the yellow Urban Hunt t-shirt, I've sent an email to TT about international shipping, so once they get back to me I'll see.. I definitely want some sort of memento anyway.
And whee! Thanks for quoting me.
As for a catchphrase, I don't know.. what have other games had? I feel like it could involve Ron somewhere, but then I'm biased.
Also, I feel like we should have a name. You know, like Cloudmakers, JawBreakers, Beekeepers.. what are we? I suppose we could be Hunters, but is that not a little obvious/boring?

I emailed asking TT to sell men's shirts for the same price as the women's. Guess what... no reply. Do you hear me PMs?? I'd like to buy stuff, but not at $50 for a shirt!!!

Might I suggest we are 'Fellow Commoners ' - a term from Cambridge (the UK university) which confers notional membership of the institution upon someone - without any of the real requirements of such a position. Ie, a fellow commoner is roughly equivilant to an honorary member of Cambridge (university).
Archiecally, it would be a nobleman or undergraduate who had dined at the High Table but assumed none of the responsibilities, duties or benefits associated with a full fellowship. (ie, someone who had glanced inside the deeper workings of the place, but was not a proper part of the inner circle - though the potential to achieve, or at least get close to, inner circleness is implicit)
It's a term I heard a while ago, it popped into my head when I read this thread. Probably the cambridge connection, being in name only. But I like it's slight mystery, and the suggestions of our alignment with the Commoner - Ann, JC, Ron, the (possible) Dread House survivors et al are Common people, as opposed to the rather Elevated Drs House and Shoemaker, plus the board of TT - who are all very much institutional (in more than one sense of the word) people.
I dunno, I'm completely new to all of this and just throwing ideas around randomly. Shout me down if I'm off the mark, it's the only way I'll learn

How about 'The Forgotten'? From the CMH site, it refers to the patients. We are all a little crazy and trapped in this game.

How about, hmmmmmmm, Hunters? As in Urban Hunt(ers). Just, ya know, throwing out the obvious.
But then there's no real reason to give ourselves a name.

/me ordered an UH t-shirt "It's not what you think" is a terrific catchphrase.
We are currently Hunters (for the truth).
We could be Dread Heads (am I being moronic?)
We might end up being Dreamers (when does Dream Projector play a role?)
And we are Urbanites (Urban Hunt, Urban Mythology).
We could always be called "Fans of Ron" (that 'looked' like a cute picture, but it's difficult to tell from the angle) but until he shows up again, I hate to be a fan of a dead guy.
JC always has Secrets and Amanda gives us Myths.....
And now I'm just rambling (because I can't do chat from work).
As for a logo and swag??? Anyone can make that up and register with CafePress. But if it is a logo from one of the in-game sites, we'd probably have to get permission from the PM.
Maybe if we ask nicely (and we think the PM has been monitoring our forums) something will show up for us?????

Hmms Stupid question but didn't this all start out as looking into the myth of Dread? So why not steal a name from a tv show? How about MythBusters.

Well...Hunters does have a simple, normal ring to it...I'd be inclined to go that.
