Just so ye know, the SPLAT is automatically inserted by the forum to hide email addresses from spambots and whatnot. If you ever see SPLAT, just train your mind to think @ Wink

Family Tree

I found the family tree linked as an Adobe document somewhere before but can't remember where (scholastic.com somewhere). I saved it to my harddrive so here's the document if anyone wants to print it off (I hope the attachment works...)

I too had assumed that Henry Cahill had married again when Flora died and I think in the 1800's it wasn't uncommon for cousins to marry.

I wonder if Bae and Gordon are identical twins, that could prove useful for them...

By the way, I'm having an impossible task trying to track down UK promo cards, even via head offices for Borders, Amazon.co.uk, Scholastic UK and Asda (Walmart). Anyone in the UK managed to trace any?

Edit:
Oh Gosh sorry I didn't realise that your document was also a download, Maggie Embarassed

In this down-time, I went through the previous 36 pages of this thread to collect surveillance camera codes
262P6XKTX2 tex
27GG6XDGX2 thebruce
22FC46MJX2 therealpip
237DRWJJX2 therealpip
23T4K9KGX2 HeyJudeDude
24F3CDDRX2 flgata
27JKGF72X2 Bragoeser
23CP9DMFX2 Curious_girl
26N267WKX2 Loranna
2374FRCWX2 Stevesworld
27MTKPC4X2 Gilbo

I'm assuming noone has a problem sharing them, or putting them in one place. I'll try to find a nice place on the 39 clues wiki.

Some More Surveillance Cards

Two more:
27FDW9NDX2 & 22WJ92RNXX.

Apart from the fact that people can add more surveillance cards to their collection by entering other people's multi-use numbers, what is the actual point of sharing the codes? Is there another function? Do you have any surveillance card codes, sapagoo?

I don't have a surveillance card code. But if I get one, I'll share.
as far was what is the purpose? if the card says to share the code... I take it literally and try to share the code as much as possible. I'll have 13 copies of the card after I enter your 2. If it means I get a benefit later on, even better. Can't imagine it would hinder me in any way. And I can't image it would help someone by _not_ giving out their code.

Surveillance Card

I only have one but the code is 226XPPCCX2. I don't know what the actual purpose is but on the back of the card at the top is says to log on to the website(I am guessing your account)to find out what happens when you pass the card on. I think it gave me a virtual card when my daughter used the code the first time but I'm not sure.

I've seen a number of posts asking about storage for the cards, I'm keeping my in a photo album that holds pictures up to 4' x 6'. The cards fit very well into the pockets going lengthwise and then I can just flip through the pages to see what cards I have and still need.

Madrigals are a group of people who know about the 39 clues and will do anything to find them first. Think of it this way:

Lucian = KGB -- Russia
Janus = MI6 -- England
Ekatrina = CSIS -- Canada
Tomas = CIA -- United States

We don't know who they are or how they are connected to the Cahills.

Where did you get this info? Was it on one of the cards? Of course I don't have all of the cards yet, but I had not made this connection at all. Nothing even close. I am just wondering what else I am missing. Shocked

Thought I'ld mention that the flag code for 'M' (white diagonal cross on blue background) in the Nessie Shack might be nothing more than just the Scottish flag as its a Scottish tourist place.

Or maybe that's just want they want us to think! I just looked up the signal flags on wiki and the 'M' flag also means "My vessel is stopped and making no way through the water." That doesn't make sense.

I was about to agree with HighTideOnRhum that it is intended to be the Scottish flag based upon the fact that the international signal flags are closer to square than the Scottish flag, which is 3:5. Then I read that the Scottish flag is a "sky blue", and that "All Flag pictures depict flags flying, from the viewer's point of view, from left to right."

Did you notice that the two flags on the pole outside Ye Olde Nessie Shack are going in opposite directions? So, someone must have doctored the "photo". Wink

Who else but the Madrigals would do something like that?

This is just common knowledge. Read a bit of history. I don't think Scholastic would change that part of reality.

ODESSA--French
SS--German

There are loads more. I think they just 'borrowed' these 4.

I also think that the branches and the hunters are taken from parts of the story. Highly plausable. I would quote, but I don't have the book here. It's at my office.

Re: Madrigals

I meant where did Maggie get the info that the CIA, KGB, etc have something to do the Madrigals in some way. I haven't seen that.

kgb etc

I can't remember the names off hand, but the lady with the russian accent went into hte KGB building.

Thomas branch is in the US so that is just a step of logic. This would be so much easier if I had the book with me.

Re: kgb etc

I do recall that the Russian seemed to be a KGB spy. I re-read Maggie's original statement. What I don't understand is how "Lucian = KGB", etc. has anything to do with the Madrigals. Is that just a theory? She stated it like fact. I was just wondering if I missed something.

I think at this point everything is theory. There aren't enough clues yet, an way too many cards to get. We still don't know what to do with them.
