Yeah, me too. Very Happy I'll try and get there before noon, and as close to 10 as I can.

pollock's toe, thanks for that! So for the hell of it, I just emailed Jon Carroll for kicks. Maybe he's still interested in going down this road.

Holy fuck, breakfast burritos. Yes. YES.

requital

Did anyone else notice CaptKing's card described him as being in a state of requital? There's a card for requital describing it as a state of being cut of from a system as a consequence of not recognizing the spirit of a thing. Are we doing something wrong? Could the whole point of the card screen be to tell us that our methods are too intrusive or something? At least one of those cards link to this forum.

Also at least two of the cards link to omni articles from the 70's which reference Dr Coleman. The articles seem genuine; could he be a real person?

not sure...

I didn't see the articles about Coleman, but there were articles that appeared to be from sfgate.com and fooled me. They were actually on sfgate.US, made to look just like the newspaper's site, and linking back to it. This domain also owned by the same person who owns jejune, epwa, nonchalance, etc.

Ugh. I feel frustrated. Other than the flea market, I don't really know where to go from here.

In regards to me being in "Requital" not quite sure whats going on with that... It would explain why I dont get any emails back when I try to correspond with them.

As of now I'm considered an "in game character" I believe... Though I know nothing of the story line, the PMs may be using me for something... what it is I dont know...

Some things to pro-sider:

1. Re: Timecraft 13: When visiting an elder (or wise person), it's customary to bring an -offering- of some sort. Not just one for the group, each visitor should bring one. Generally, research can reveal what sort. The idea is to bring something they would really actually enjoy or need, and might have difficulty acquiring for themselves. For some, this might be fine tobacco, chocolate, or tea, coffee or alcohol (wine, spirits, etc) — but research is important to both meet the needs of the elder and to avoid bringing what they do not want (which puts them in a delicate position).

Is that a hint? Ba-dang. If anyone's interested in following suit, I suggest bringing CDs of various stripes; Mr. C's been decorating the craft with them.

I mean, the other thing I could think of is that, from the looks of a bandana hanging up in the cockpit, that Mr. C sometimes rocks the ganj, but I'm a square in the chemical department and can't provide.

Overlooked or just overwhelmed by? I've been doing reading and putting pieces together but I'm literally on the clock here. It's been all of 8 or 9 hours... we've got time, right?

http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sfc/com/901185875.html -- is this from one of us?

Also, I was told politely (I think) that CDs would be a bad offering. So back to tea, cigs, etc. I'm bringing tea and a couple other things.

See you soon! I'm going with "noon on the northwest corner of the flea market, at Ashby and MLK Way" as was suggested, and for those who haven't met me, I'm the bearded fellow with... well I'm sure that's a lot of guys in Berkeley, so I'll bring my purple ukulele.

Well, no dice today. We decided to head over to the Ashby bart station where the flea market is held, but due to bad weather it was cancelled. A few of us went around the block trying to find another TC13 anchor, but we failed to find anything. During that time Liz went around to people who often hang around the bart station (vendors etc) and showed them a picture of the truck and asked if they have seen it before... no dice.

So, we went back to the church to see if we could find anything more... Found the unmason's brick, but nothing else was under it... I took the brick wanting to stop the unmason's attack on St Thaddeus. (I mean, there are no more clues leading to the brick since the box was found), so I dont think they will miss it Wink

We then headed over to the JI and looked at the books in the shelf. Nothing really interesting, just some new age mumbo-jumbo. We also messed with the camera a bit (just to let them know we knew they were watching ;D)

That's about it. Nothing really new to report... just wanted to make sure we couldnt get anymore clues...

OH one thing though, turns out we can got to the very top of 580 CA (Where the statues are). There is something up there, we just have to visit between mon-fri... so we should get there soon!

EDIT:
Though we missed Timecraft 13, I can definitely say that this truck is IG. If you look at the flickr set http://www.flickr.com/photos/31435947@N04/2944375305/in/set-72157608054918384/
You can see the nonchalance symbol on the truck in a few spots, and it even mentions how "The truck must be anchored down to the curb" much like the one we saw in the induction process... That means there must be a Timecraft 13 anchor outside of ashby, and we missed it...

Also, does anyone know how to lookup California License plate numbers? In one of the pictures we see the # 1M88869... maybe we can find out who that # belongs to.

I have reason to believe possession of the brick may significantly endanger you. This is not a jape. That object is no mere 'game piece'. On a number of occasions I have advised people that there are forces at play here which are far beyond the pale and naive catalog of the common person. It is crucial that this awareness be sustained.

My advice is to return it to the spot you found it.

It may soon be possible to 'put it to rest' in a spot...more appropriate, however, that matter must await further intelligence.

Well, if this brick were to harm any structure, I would much it rather be somewhere where it cannot do much harm, instead of affecting the sacred shrine of St. Thaddeus.

I'll keep an eye out, and make sure it is not "planted" anywhere near an important structure.

I started reading this thread today. I, like a couple of other posters, live in TN. I am too busy atm for regular arging, but i like to snoop now and again. I did a search and didn't see this mentioned. I've not been in the IRC in a long time so don't know if it might have been discussed there and then not shared on the board. Anyhoo, I came across this, thought it was interesting and would share.

It is from this user: http://www.myspace.com/rezl

I thought the animal types might have significance too, until I reloaded the page and saw that the animals kept changing each time. CaptKing's card, for example, had a type of bird the first time I went there; the second time it had a raccoon.

According to the JSON data object MoR snagged, each card is only set to "show animal" or "don't show animal," a binary yes/no.

Oh ho! I take that back about the animals being random and yes/no. They were Friday morning, but looking at the data now, it seems that the animals are now fixed in the way Organelle's listed.
