Mysterious Mailbag
Something just turned up in our inbox

Hey looks like I'm not the only one, but wanted to let you guys know about the latest mail to turn up at Stitch Media HQ. All the details are on our weblog over here. Again - no new information, but some pretty pics!

Hope everyone remembers to vote and not read uF all day! (I have an excuse - our election was weeks ago)

Best of luck players,
mysteryjones

Well well ... nothing much to add, but I do so love receiving mysterious mail from new ARG cults. Photos attached, but I'm not sure there are any kloos. Deeply sad I can't head over there today in my Sarah Palin Halloween costume!

Hey does anyone else feel that SOFTPORN is so good, that I want to extend it to other cases, any case where we are gonna be digging around ,
Hell the name could be used in so many cases, (IM only gonna say this once lol, Case is my code for ARG , so yeah)

So yeah I love the pages Capt, I think this is the beging of a very new era in S.O.F.T.P.O.R.N.

i'm new to ARGs, so i don't know if this is typical or not, but i was having so much fun with this, and now i feel like it's getting a little convoluted and i almost feel like i'm starting to lose interest...

any suggestions?

Yeah, a lot of times there is a lag in ARGs. Due to either PM's hitting a snag due to tech problems, waiting for people to catch up, etc.

So right now, we are just filling time by forming SOFTPORN Wink

So, does anyone have any news? Any contact from the PM? Anything? It's been a while since we heard anything.

There's a new post over up on Kelvin's weblog, http://rememberingeva.wordpress.com/ with more info on Eva, but other than that, I haven't seen or heard anything except from a friend I hadn't seen in a while who said he and some other folks started on the Jejune trail.

Waitress2 knows I offered to do a write-up on all the different bits of info culled from all those links on all the cards, but it's been a busy week and today doesn't look any better, ugh.

TC 13

Ok, I went to the Ashby Flea Market on Sunday and there was no sign of Timecraft 13. I don't think I've ever seen it there. I'm starting to get the impression (from the requital card and the latest EPWD e-mail) that the PM's don't approve of how we're handling our investigation. I'm not sure what we should be doing differently though, I think we're staying pretty well in the bounds of the game thus far.

Regarding TC13: To be honest, we don't know if Timecraft 13 is really supposed to be easily accessible at the Ashby Flea Market. When five of us went out to check it out right after the cards showed up, we knew it was kind of a stretch, but figured what the hell, if nothing else, flea market. That being said, if one of us manages to run across Timecraft 13 at this point, it'll probably be by luck rather than planning... at least until we get some more information about it.

If we were collectively really doing something that the PMs didn't like, or even one of us specifically, I'm sure they'd be more specific about it. (I'm thinking of something that's already happened, that someone was doing, and as a result they were told not to do it.)

There's a bunch of reasons I can think of for this pause, to be honest:
- They may be waiting for more people to catch up to this point -- the induction is still available.
- They may be having technical/logistical problems, so we're hanging on until they're ironed out.
- It could be that they're waiting for us to post what we've pieced together from all the information linked to from the cards, or Organelle might've been right (before he removed all his posts) and we actually have missed something important... I mean, ever since the card room, except for us trying to track down Timecraft 13, we haven't really done anything. (Here's something I've been thinking about over the last couple of days: Katy blogged about something called 000 Montgomery. Has anyone checked it out yet? Does it have anything to do with anything? Am I gonna get drafted now that I've brought it up? Smile )
- Conversely, we might be moving too fast for them! Probably not, but ya never know. Smile Also this might be the first time they've done something like this, so there might be bugs, so to speak.

I've noticed a few things since our first attempt at going to Ashby: the new post on Kelvin's blog, the cardset data getting cleaned up. (You wouldn't know about the data from looking at the login page, but I've checked it a couple times.) Stuff is happening still.

Also, how's this for perspective: around the time CaptKing did the induction form, he discovered there was going to be 2 or 3 weeks before anything new happened, and it's only been 10 days since the cards were made available. Smile

Speaking of Mr. CaptKing: hey, Cap'n, have you heard anything about your state of Requital? Have you asked the EPWA about it? Maybe it's more important than we think it is.

On Requital

I was looking at the card set, specifically the requital card, and noticed for the first time that it links specifically to page 4 of this thread. Page 4 is where the walk through is posted. Could it be that the walk through bothers the PM's? Should we take it down for a while and see what happens? I only make a big deal out of this because both the requital card and EPWD letter both suggest some sort of lack of respect for the spirit of the game on our part.
