Blue Card, Level 2 access.

I'm assuming we all got the same questions - some were from the show, like Henry calling Tom "Boy Scout" (False - Edward calls Raymond that)... but I don't recall a "honeycomb" symbol anywhere... any ideas?

Hey everyone!

I got Blue Card, Level 2 access.

You have to have ALL 10 questions correct in order to get the "Blue Card" access, otherwise, you're just put at "Red Card / Level 1".

Has anyone signed into their access code and see what "goodies" we have?

P.S. --> The AJ Sun logo is NOT a honeycomb.

The only thing that could have made that any better would have been a RickRoll.

Patience
Not What You Think...

If people hope they will go into a Virtual World, and have their own Character/Avatar with this website they are mistaken. This would require more programming than they have done with adding pages to the website.

I am a Level 2. I believe that if you fail any of the 2 questions about the vehicle, or whatever guidelines they use; you get access to Level 1 (Red).

Do you really think that the emails that you receive once or twice a week will ever amount to a Virtual World that will constitute all the time spent waiting for emails, and on the blogs? If so, I hope their build up is better or somewhat close to what we as a collective are hoping for.

Don't get me wrong, I would like to see this become something huge. It has grabbed my attention. But I am afraid that they are buying time with the limited amount of emails, and limited amount of access to this place we want to go. My expectations are not high, they are logical. If they can create a experience/game play on the Internet via a website instead of the online games via a XBOX or PS3, then I can only hope they create a new mold.

Let's hope that I am wrong in every way, but until then.... I hate to wait for minimal contact, and no change for the website that I have spent all this hope for. Are we going to get a link in the next email to page 5 that was newly created?

My words to the people in charge of the website and production. "We are like a dog, we will keep following the bacon. But if there is no reward in the end, we will never follow again."

J. Knepper, that post makes me think you've never played an ARG before...

I joined... err... applied. Hopefully I'm not too late, though I've never watched this show.

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Cool

Hey J. Knepper, glad to see a new face here, testing the waters of ARGing!

If you have never experienced an ARG before, might I suggest going to ARGN.com and look in the upper left corner for "What is an ARG?", and "How Do I Get Started?". If you are still interested, go to Unfiction's own getting started page, and browse through it, focusing particularly on "history" and "glossary". Also, go to the ARG player tutorial, and read it to get an idea of what you are getting yourself into.

After reading these, you should be able to get the idea that what we are looking for in an ARG is more like an interactive book, rather than a video game MMOG, with puzzles to solve to get to new "chapters" in said narrative.

To get a taste of what "Majestic-Style" ARGing is like, try the experience created recently by Dreamworks Pictures for the film "Eagle Eye". The site is Eagle Eye Freefall. Don't worry, this is only a ten-minute experience that does not continue after the end of the initial experience, so you don't have to worry about phone calls from fictional people bugging you to play.

Also, we realize that this style of "game" is not for everyone, and if you find it not to be your thing, don't worry about it, we will understand.

I hope I have been of some assistance to you, and I hope you enjoy your time here with us! Wink

Not what you think...

Thank you for the useful information. I will check it out. I hope that I didn't offend anyone, I certainly didn't intend to. This sounds like it could be a lot of fun.

Since we've got access I looked up the 45th Floor and found a doobie brothers song

The 45th Floor
(Bill Champlin, Tom Johnston)
Politician drivin' down the road
Flashin' that smile that got him the vote
Here's another country girl
He's teachin' her about the world in his room
On the 45th floor - get 'em all while they're young

Campaign money comes rollin' in
Ain't nobody askin' where it's been
Talk about a smokin' gun
What'd we pay to get his son out of jail
Don't inhale
On the 45th floor

We all know what's been happenin'
Ain't no slappin' him down
We're supposedly invited to the party
But the elevator's never gonna stop
On the 45th floor
Doesn't matter if it's day or night
'Cause we're all gonna pay the price
and the party rolls on

Used to be a rumour goin' round
The people tried to run my man outta town
We thought we'd see him ride the rails
No one's ever gonna nail him down
All because of the 45th floor

We all know what's been happenin'
Ain't no slappin' him down
We're supposedly invited to the party
But the elevator's never gonna stop
On the 45th floor
Doesn't matter if it's left or right
'Cause we're all gonna pay the price
And the party rolls on

None of these fools ever thinks about the pain they cause
It's all about an image to uphold
how could anybody be so bold
Takin' all the candy from the hands of a child

We all know what's been happenin'
Ain't no slappin' him down
We're supposedly invited to the party
But the elevator's never gonna stop
We all know what's been happenin'
Ain't no slappin' him down
We're supposedly invited to the party
But the elevator's never gonna stop
On the 45th floor
Doesn't matter if it's day or night
'Cause we're all gonna pay the price
And the party rolls on

Doubt if the ARG writers had that song in mind, but you never know Wink

Hey no problem, glad I could be of assistance! And no, you didn't offend anybody, at least not me. I have seen far worse, and indeed, vitriolic slap-downs of the ARG community as a whole come across the boards from time to time, calling us pseudo-intellectuals with too much time on our hands, idiots, things like that.

So no, I wasn't offended at all, considering the fact that you were simply trying to let us know not to get our hopes up, and were trying to be helpful in that respect. Wink
