Getting started with SCC hello, I am a relative n00b (been trying out aware and ilovebees) and i was wondering what the first steps i should take in order to hop onto this ARG. Any help people could provide would be most useful. Thanks!

Everything you need to know about playing this ARG is described in the threads in this forum.
In order to get into the game you need to get yourself verified, to do this you must send a blank email to elc3433SPLATsubcitycentral.net (put in a @ where I have put SPLAT) with the subjecte id and prefix you wish to be known as for this game, for example, I am TUX8527.
So you need to use 3 letters, followed by 4 numbers, then wait for a verification. If you want to know anymore, please feel free to private message me ok.
This is my first ARG too, but I am a massive THX-1138 Fan, which is why I am playing.

Apologies if this is in the wrong place...
I sent off my "Subjecte ID" and "Prefix" and got this email sent back:
Quote:
From: "ELC 3433" <elc3433@subcitycentral.net>
To: "EBL1123" <xxxxxx@yahoo.co.uk>
Subject: EBL1123 VERIFICATION
Date: Thu, 19 Aug 2004 23:12:21 -0400
YOUR PREFIX/SUBJECTE IDENTIFICATION HAS BEEN VERIFIED
YOU WILL RECEIVE YOUR COMMUNITY LOGIN PASSWORD BEFORE
THE NEXT SERIES BEGINS
REMEMBER TO TAKE ONE RED PILL FOLLOWED BY TWO BLUE PILLS

Does anyone know when the "next series" will begin? I've dug around on the forum a bit but as far as I can tell either no one else got this email or they're keeping pretty quiet about it.
Thanks.

Hi Maestro,
We all had this email when we registered, mine was about a Month ago.
To get a Password to get into the PB848 Fabrication Plant you need to send a blank email with a 7 Letter Word of your choice in the subject header to wvw0101SPLATsubcitycentral.net (Put @ where I put SPLAT).
You won't get a verification of this password, the only way you can find out if it has been verified is to go to subcitycentral and click on the PB848 Plant and put in your ID that has been verified in the designation box and your password that you sent off in the password box, but I suggest you leave it a few hours from when you send the email, to give them chance to note it ok.

Thanks a lot!
Sorry, I guess I just panicked when I saw it - I thought since maybe I was coming into the game late I was being punished...? Especially when I saw at www.statewellness.net that it said "Next series loading" - I thought I had to wait for the next "round" of the game.
Thanks again - will try what you suggest.

You're welcome Maestro.
Good luck with getting in on the game.
The reason why Statewellness says, loading next series is because that Site is the next stage of the game. Well, that's what I think anyway.
We still have OMM Control to crack at SubCity Central, but I have a feeling that this will be our last task, as OMM is God of the society.

Mine took about 24 hours to come back, but this was before the ARG had actually started properly, so you might get yours quicker.
