Cheers Ad, so close but missing the last link. When will i learn, drive to the very end of the avenue before giving up!!

Congrats kie, on Q43.

I just arrived at the 'end of the avenue'. Turns out it is a "one-way, dead-end street". NOW WHAT DO I DO? Embarassed

Just as always: count Smile

Nevertheless I guess there are two possibilities. Answer may be related to where you live. Or will the number be updated?

I will wait a few hours to see if something changes, before trying my potential answers.

[UPDATE] So actually for me a new day has begun, but the number did not change Sad

I have 'Fire' so there's an obvious correlation there. I also have the standard ads as page 7, is this the same for you?

Perhaps we should all do the norm and list exactly what we have as our pages. For starters -

1. The will of your grandfather was opened yesterday.
It contained eleven pages.
This is the first one:

"All my fortune is in the big, brown chest in the 3rd bedroom.
Whoever can open the trunk gets everything that's inside.

As you well know I love riddles. So I left 10 clues for you.
Only three are important. The other seven will mislead you.
The three important ones are connected. You could get your answer using only one, but the other two will point you in the right direction.

Good luck! And remember: even the most unexpected clue can be the right one!"

2. Last one in late
3. The task at hand
4. My birthday is: 1900 December 19
5. My marriage date was: 1955 May 21
6. A projectile launched from a bow
7. **A page of the standard ads, 3 side by side with a scroll bar **
8. The colour blue
9. Art of war
10. Fire
11. A fine wine

I have 3 numbers in the numerical sense, 1 (if you count I), 3 and 10. And three in the written sense, 1, 2, 3, 7, 11. I have nothing Sad

Q44

My page 1 is the same. Here's the rest:

2. A sweet orange
3. A place of sorrow
4. Birthday: 1913 June 20
5. Marriage: 1954 May 3
6. A parodox in Special Relativity verified using precise measurements of clocks flown in planes (answer: Twin Paradox)
7. Search ads (scroll buttons reveal 10-12 sites which change) and strange message in the code
8. The color green
9. Ask and I will not answer
10. Air
11. Points of interest

I'm not coming up with much either. One person solved it so far.

Q-44
mine

2. A winged beast
3. The mask of eternity
4. Birthday 1918 August 22
5. Marriage 1957 May 5
6. The second largest living cat after the tiger (lion)
7. (many ads)
8. The color orange
9. Electric feeling
10. Fire
11. Art of war

The dates look interesting, maybe because they are numbers. By subtracting the birth from the marry, I get: 38,08,14.
Page 6 can be googled for an answer.
Page 8 the colors have a nm frequency orange is 630-590. WIQ has used that in previous questions.
All we have to do is open the trunk/chest...I say lets' go get a chainsaw.

Q44

I got a blank page for "page 7", there is nothing there.

"homepage"- same as everybody else
p2 - A measure of time
p3- The walls of a room
p4 - My birthday is: 1920 October 23
p5 - My marriage date is: 1955 May 15
p6 - The ratio of a single unit of distance on the map to the equivalent distance on the ground
p7 - blank
p8 - The color red
p9 - My last and first smile
p10 - Air
p11 - A pen

I hope page 7 is not a significant clue. Maybe it is a clue in and of itself, hell I don't know.

Q-44
page 7

Mav.
Go to page 7. Right click it, choose 'view source'. Do you get an enticing message to search for clue 3/3 or something like, or is it totally blank, as well? I get three advertisments first but have scroll buttons to see 19 ads total. I think the 'secret' message is bull, for what that's worth.

Lots of times online puzzlers will use the Source Code to hide secret messages. Usually there is a lot of code that an average user like me can't decipher, but interesting clues can be hidden there on purpose. I think this is the first time WIQ has used it. I've looked at it on most of the other puzzles when we are stuck, but there was nothing revealing.

Could you explain to a non native speaker what you mean with this?
Is the message important or is it not?

"bull"

Sorry AUZ.
A bunch of 'bull', is actually missing one word usually left out. That word is CRAP or more often 'S**T'. It means not worth much, or in the case of puzzles a severe distraction. I was right in this case. It has nothing to do with solving this one.

Hmmm, would anyone who's done this be willing to offer up a clue as to which clues are the ones to follow. You could do 3 fakes to go alongside the real clue just to confuse me even more.......... no scrap that idea, i'm confused enough already.

At the moment i'm leaning towards the dates, the element, and possibly the colour as being the actual clues. But that's pure instinct more than general knowledge and i'm probably way off the mark.

Here's a hint:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Look towards the stars for the answer, but don't forget what you learned in elementary school.
