Letters & the Video
Sequencing?

It occured to me that the letters may indicate an ordering of clues, so here is an inventory of "the letters". I also believe that occurences of the word "HOOP' are clues.

    * "A" @ 1:39 on toy cowboy hat on table. Again at 6:03 as the same hat is thrown out in the garbage.
    * "B" @ 2:48 as man does semaphore signal for "B". Some posters also believe that there is an extra "B" in the word "BONUS" on the keypad display shown at 2:49 (BONUB OR BONBB) but it looks like it might just e a crappy display
    * "C" @ 1:31 on sign next to door. VO says "At the recently renovated Jagoda Museum Center, you can .." It appears again in cartoon-form @ 10:22 with the words "Champion Dynasty Grant" over it.
    * "D" @ 2:05 missing from the word "Armageddon" in song #3 on the "Hollywood Glitz" promo poster. VO says "Hollywood Glitz. Why not join the cultural renaissance yourself?"
    * "G" @ 4:47 on sign on wall. VO says "Class G certified"
    * "K" @ 6:22 on sign on safety presentation. VO says "Nearest structure rated Class K or greater. Don't worry. All our schools are rated at least --"
    * "L" @ 6:28 on sign on safety presentation. VO says "Class L. And talk about school --"
    * "M" @ 4:33 in reference to the slide about the "M-rotor" and "reseating". Also @ 6:30 during safety presentation, as the letter contained in a right-pointing triangle.
    * "O" @ 2:05 missing from the word "Whoops" in song #4 on the "Hollywood Glitz" promo poster. VO says "Hollywood Glitz. Why not join the cultural renaissance yourself?"

I also believe that the words & symbols on the signs are being ignored. The "rupture" phrase rarely makes sense, and we haven't talked about the symbols yet. Another poster made the statement that the Correllian alphabet is important, and another poster mentioned a voicemail box for "Mr Lewis". M. Rev. Don Lewis appears in "Hoopeston" and is the Correllian Chancellor. I do not think these links are an accident. Let's take a closer look at the signs

    * Class C "Rupture Radar". Symbols include C, 3/4ths of a coloured-in pie graph, with the missing piece pointing directly up, something that looks like an inverted QuickTime logo, or perhaps a clock or compass with the "hand" pointing 45 degrees (NE, or 7.5 minutes after the hour), and a strange symbol I don't recognize consisting of a mirrored "C" and a vertical rectangular block with a break in the middle.
    * Class G "Rupture Resistant". Symbols include G, the same pie from Class C, something that looks just like the USB logo, and a repeat of the strange symbol from the Class C sign, except that the mirrored "C" is doubled and the block is unbroken.
    * Class K "Rupture Reductive". Symbols include K, a Go.D.S.E.E.D. symbol, a hammer, and a symbol containing what looks like a DNA double-helix, and a vertical rectangular block.
    * Class L "Rupture Rally". Symbols include L, a Go.D.S.E.E.D. symbol, a starburst, and the DNA symbol from Class K.

Other possible misc clues:

    * One of the kids posters in the garbage said "COOL DOG". In the credits, the "Cool Dog" is credited as "JETHRO". The cool dog is shown again at 9:50 during the closing credits.
    * At 10:01, a figure is shown digging, with crystals beneath him. This reminds me of the Crystal Web howto video posted by M. Rev. Don Lewis (I posted the link earlier) on YouTube. Remember, Lewis appears in "Hoopeston" talking about the Crystal Web.

I just called my Mum who is a librarian and she defiantly suggests checking out the Library of Congress and other sites to find out what book it would be. So it appears we are on the right track with the call number theory.

Oooh nifty. Something new (and puzzly) to discuss.

re: the link in the source code- I checked it again just hours ago, and it wasn't there. Very recent addition.

I was told the info packets would be sent out sometime mid-week.

Good catch! I am trying to look it up as a call number, then - anyone else have any luck? You may wish to look at the YT vid again to make sure I did not transcribe incorrectly. Smile

(and you know what's freaky? Google has already cached my post with that number in it. Crazy.)

dposse, it feels to me that it's just ambient chatter, but it would be cool to be wrong about that. Smile

Rule number 1 of ARG playing: Never take anything for granted (AKA "Always check the source code").

It was either backwards or a foreign language. If it was another language, it sounded alot like either Arabic or a African language.

Oh, and i'm glad i was right about the call number haha. Smile

Chinatown

I doubt the Chinese heard in the beginning of the new video matters.

I also still doubt the Hoopeston has anything to do with it too.

Actual physical packets, or e-mail?

So just a rehash:

*R-RMRR refers to biographical subject matter (?) primarily found at NYPL

AI 3 .A23 is a call no. each instance I've found refers to "Access"
another link at Yale

Access. Evanston, IL : John Gordon Burke Publisher, 1975

Why don't we call a librarian at the library and ask what it actually is?

That is a good rule, but Rule #1 about ARGs is actually, "There are no rules."

It really does sound like ambient noise, though, in the same way that makes me think calling the business named in the sign behind the basketball guy's head is probably a long shot best saved for when there's nothing else screaming "KLOO." But that's just me. Smile

He referred to them as "information packets" that he would e-mail. He's only been taking e-mails, not addresses. Though I sent off a letter to the PO Box requesting info. So, we'll see what comes of that.

Thanks Smile I was about to make this list myself.

There's also some numbers... not sure if they are relevant. There's the number 4 printed on the "activity sheets", the numbers that pop up at the very beginning of the video (channel 124, etc.)...

Like i said before, that video was very highly produced. This is no High School media club that we're dealing with. It may not mean anything...but what if it does? We should at least try to have it translated.
