On second thought, I'm not sure. The last number changed from a 6 to a 3 when the search string changes from "thisismymilwaukee" to "this is my milwaukee." (The position of the site in relation to the other sites also changes)

A little off topic, but I just found this video, also by Syndyne. It's pretty funny.

Another lame theory
forgive my exhuberance, this is my first time with an ARG and I'm hooked!

Since the video is put out by Blackstar and affiliates, and they are constantly telling people to bury the 'family tree', I assume the thing is a weapon that can hurt 'them', whatever they are. As I mentioned before, the item they handle in video 1 is fennel and ripe and clean, while the thing that is held up and cracks the glasses in video 2 looks burnt or rotten. If this
were a weapon, then I would assume Blackstar, who is in charge, would be using propaganda to get people to get rid of it.

i hadn't noticed this before, but the synydyne poster for hoopeston has some text on it that (to me) doesn't seem to connect with the documentary or it's style. thoughts?

That's actually an interesting connection between the two groups other than Black Star who are credited on the TIMM website - Howcast has been created by Nim Projects and Syndyne director Thomas Bender has uploaded 27 how-to videos on it. All the ones I've watched are really funny, and Seena Jon (the Cello Player and Basketball Player) appears in a number of them...

Whoah! This is totally OOG, but I just found the robot man in one of the how-to videos.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Compare http://i36.tinypic.com/kcjc3p.jpg with the TIMM screencap.

Talked to Joey again:

Joey: MTC, this is Joey.
Me: Hey Joey, long day?
Joey: Yeah, tell me about it.
Me: Hey, I was thinking of coming up there and doing some treasure hunting. Anything good up there?
Joey: Man, I've got some friends that do that, and they're pretty extreme! High altitudes, low altitudes, spelunking in the caves....
Me: So, if I wanted to go treasure hunting, what would I need to bring?
Joey: Have you ever been up here? Man, you can't just come waltzing up here and start treasure hunting! Have you talked to Russo yet?
Me: No, I haven't been able to get a hold of him.
Joey: Try nights. He works long days.
Me: One more quick question: I'd like to find out some information on Black Star.
Joey: I have to go. *hangs up*

If you google Syndyne, they're not even on the first page of google.

Heck, if all they want to do with TIMM is generate some buzz and awareness about their film company, they succeeded.

Good catch on the other videos on Howcast. You can definitely see a lot of shared elements in their howto videos and TIMM.

So apparently, he wants everyone to call Russo. And he works nights. Guess I'll start trying to call him.

So I'm watching the video again, and there was something that caught my ear, I don't think this was mentioned before.

At the end credits, when the lyric subtitle says "Champion Dynasty" the singer actually sings something that sounds like "Solstice Millenium". Something to do with the sun and/or nighttime? Like a Winter solstice?

I just got in touch with Mike. I asked if I should wait until I turn 20 to move, and he said I should move as soon as possible. He took my name and e-mail, and said the informations packets have been delayed until Monday morning, due to Thanksgiving. He said it should clear up a lot of questions about the relocation process.

EDIT: When the subtitle says "Champion Dynasty" I think she says "Soldier's Millennium"

I tried getting some info from Joey about how the Godseed determine who is an adult and who is a teen. He wasn't budging. Just told me that if I look young to carry the rebreather and a flare gun.

 My convo w/ Mike

Just talked to Mike... he said some weird stuff....

Quote:

Mike: MTC, this is Mike.
Me: Uh, Hi.. I'm interested in relocating to Milwaukee.
Mike: Great! What's your name?
Me: Heath
(some back and forth about my name... keith? keith? oh, Heath!)
Mike: Where ya from, Heath?
Me: Austin.
Mike: Oh, there's people down there?
Me: heh.. heh...
Mike: What's your email?
(give him my email)
Mike: Well, we'd be delighted for you to move here, as opposed to one of our other active cities, like Grand Rapids or (i THINK he said Salt Lake?). There's no reason to be afraid, people are actively living out their lives. Any other questions?
Me: Oh yeah, I wanted to ask you, I'm moving up with my roommate. Since it's just the two of us, would we be safe, or do we need to find someone to go with us?
Mike: Well, there's a difference between ideal circumstances and our day-to-day lives. If you're smart and stay in safe areas, you should be fine. I walk around by myself all the time, and I feel safe because I have a big flare gun, to say nothing of my rebreather should I encounter any Godseed fragments...
Me: Oh yeah... if I were to encounter a Godseed fragment, how would I know?
Mike: Oh, well, it's nothing to be worried about, if you saw one (call breaks up a bit... i believe he said it would immediately go underground). But if you stay in a safe area, you probably won't even run into any. Any other questions?
Me: No, thanks a lot for your help!
Mike: No problem, you should be receiving a packet that will explain the relocation procedure on Monday.

A couple of things...

At first, I thought he was making a joke when he said "Oh, there's people down there?" when I mentioned Austin, but I'm thinking he actually meant parts of the country are wiped out.

Also, he mentioned "our other active cities". I know he said Grand Rapids, and he mentioned another city, but I couldn't catch it.

Someone should ask about the other active cities!!!

Ok, so why would the teens care about the size of the city (22nd largest city in U.S.) and that they produce flaxseed? I don't know any teens that would care about that at all. It isn't something that they tell the adults. Terry says it like those facts will excite/convince the teens that they want to go. I find it strange.

edit: I hope Austin isn't wiped out, I like my house here
