map

It seems to me that those lines on the map are corresponding to latitude and longitude lines, which could give some reference to location based on that.

I would also wager the map is a bit skewed in proportion due to the curvature of the lines.

Additionally, it would seem plausible that it focuses somewhere on the general milwauke area as it was referred to in the treasure hunting section. So, if you've got a keen eye with maps - maybe look in that area for notable features.

If there was a major flood...

the map would look very different.

(Hi! Been lurking, this one looks fun!)
Ugh, haha, just got off the phone with Mike Russo....

Quote:
Mike: Hello, Mike Russo.

Me: Hey Mike, My name's Ari and I'm thinking about moving to Milkwaukee. I've got a couple of questions for you ok?

Mike: Ok great. Can you spell you name for me please?

Me: I'm a 24 year old male. Hey great, we could always use some more strapping young lads.

Mike: Where are you calling from?

Me: Florida.

Mike: Oh.. wow. I didn't know there were still people in Florida. Ok.

Me: Well, my questions were about non-humans. Are there human women there?

Mike: Haha, yes there are plenty of young woman here.

Me: Oh thats great!

Mike: Look, Ari... Sometimes a joke is really just a joke and not ment to be taken too seriously. Some people may be into beastiality, but its just a joke. Though I can't really speak for Terry. Is there anything else I can help you with?

Me: Nope, I don't think so. How about I leave you my email address?

Mike: Great, what is it?

Me: (I spell it out)

Mike: (He explains about the packet are going to be sent out and that there were some last minute changes. Our connections gets really fuzzy, I thank him and hang up.)

So! I guess non-humans aren't real? But then what about the comments about the lion headed laser beast thing? Lol.

Hey, first time, first post, first register here, etc.

Just for the record, it sounds like the noises during the "teens only" segment aren't meant to be a part of the bit about schools - it sounds like somebody came into the recording room and pulled out the microphone (the buzzing noise happens whenever a cable on my mic comes loose and touches something metal), and then when it got plugged back in, the narrator was yelling about throwing the troublemaker to the Go.D.S.E.E.D. fragments.

This has been bothering me all day, actually-- I think this makes it abundantly clear that they're a danger to adults too (that guy definitely sounds far too old to be a teen).

Not that that wasn't clear already, but...just sayin'

Other thoughts:
  • I'm interested in the higher-rated structures. What are the characteristics of Class K, L, C, etc?
  • Flares make light, heat, and smoke (and are a projectile...but so are guns, which Just Don't Work)...which of these is what actually hinders/harms a Fragment (bigger flare guns are stated to work better).
  • We should see about probing about what a Fragment looks like by asking about ones we've "seen" as a recent transfer. I feel like they're saying that there are many different types and that some are more dangerous than others (ask about hairy ones, ones with six legs, ones with no discernible eyes; like "Are the ones smaller than a foot long dangerous to humans?" or something like that).
  • If possible, use this to springboard into getting a Class C residence to keep infant twins safer?

Hmmm... didn't someone else mention a phone call where they said there are non-human alternatives for "open-minded adults"?

Ok, Pittsburg and Florida updated on the map.

EDIT: One thing that bugs me is that Pittsburg is in Illinois. So is Hoopeston. Since the MTC is supposed to be funding a documentary about Hoopeston, does that mean all of Il is not wiped out? That would be an argument against flooding, right? Or maybe the article that mentioned the link isn't canon? Or it's Black Star propaganda again? Ack, so many questions.

I'll keep updating the map when I have time (why oh why must I have exams?)

Another spelling problem

Hey all,

Another first timer here... I'm from Milwaukee, like some of the others.

I noticed another spelling error in the credits on the first video:

at 10:18, there is a credit for "THE VWM POST"

I suspect this is supposed to be "THE UWM POST", an unofficial publication of UW-Milwaukee... http://uwmpost.com/

Heh, I had just assumed Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, but I suppose there's no reason why it couldn't be Pittsburg, IL.

The UWM Post could be legit. Though they have a "Fringe" tab that isn't working right now. Also it was made in '98.

Apparently. Which is funny, but a little odd to just throw in there. Hmm.. I don't think we have the whole story. Maybe... it is sex with animals, but its a joke because the fragments are beasts of some kind??

That's what happens when a Canuck tries to make a US map... Fixed now.

I'm now assuming Illinois is a safe area, because of Hoopeston.
