Has anyone left their fax number and received anything? I just left mine on the voicemail... however I'm going to be out of the office for the holidays until Monday!

Smooth Jazz Millenium

I think the 70's show clip is a reference to the song.

What if the "new" culture is based off bad old 70's tv.

End of the Video

Just bringing this up since it hasn't been scrutinized yet:

What's with the end of the movie?

At 9:46, it appears that there's some sort of shadow attacking a guy, in the top left panel, followed by it in shattered pieces in the bottom panel.

Edit: Image Link: http://www.flickr.com/photos/thebruce0/3056120329/in/set-72157609933410609/

And the very end:

Basketball kid: Glad you found me, Terry! I thought I was toast!
Terry: Here's your ball back, kid! Now for a slam dunk of my oooowwwwn!!!

Is Terry shooting fireballs? Flares? What's going on with that?

I braved posting in an anime forum in regards to Blackstar no Blackstar or Flax Seed - just in case.

Nothing so far - they say they've never heard of a Japanese anime by that name. Which may be nothing ... or something.

ps. joined for this - thank you for having me Smile

Next time, try posting your anime related ideas on this forum. There is at least one anime fan here. It would've saved you time.

it was fun! they thought I was a highly skilled troll. I thought I'd see what a chan had to say since much wasn't being said about it here. Dead end though, so no harm no foul.

Also, this mention of flax seed twice is puzzling.

I could not confirm that Flax Seed is the chief export of Milwaukee, but from wiki (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flax), the only three states that process flax are North Dakota, South Dakota, and Minnesota.

So this seems false... Why so much focus on it?

Also of note:

Quote:
The linseed producing countries are Canada(~34%), China(~25.5%) and India(~9%), though there is also significant production in USA(~8%), Ethiopia(~3.5%) and throughout Europe.

We already have references to China and India (someone before talked about the Pooja Mahal palace in India).

Lots of us have left our fax numbers, but as far as I know, no-one's received anything yet.

Saw two VERY high yield phone calls from the SA forums. Check the transcripts out if you're interested. I'll just post a few Coles' Notes:

- If one city in a state is "no-man's land", then another can still be ok (Dekab, IL is toast, but Decatur, IL is the nearest safe zone).
----- The wording makes it sound like it's NOT a flood (perhaps desert, or overrun by fragments)
- Sector 21 is vital to the future of the area, but dangerous
- travel in groups or MULTIPLES of 3... Mike says the number sequence "6 9 15 27"
----- significance to that pattern?
- New York is likely toast
- We live in the "Dormant Era"
----- which implies that the Godseed happened... at least a few years ago?
- We who live in the dormant era are living in a "dreamworld populated with things that want to end humanity but a dreamworld none the less"
- Mike cant remember anything from his childhood nor can anyone, but he remembers problems and "muttering about the economy"
----- more proof that the inhabitants are plant people or brainwashed
- the treasure hunter industry in Milwaukee is big, they welcome it
- "only a very high level treasure hunter could get into the Go.d.s.e.e.d catacombs but it IS possible"
---- yes, this very much sounds like a video game
- Mike has kids
- There are ice caves in Duluth to explore
----- meaning parts of Minnesota are OK... but is there ice in Duluth??[/quote]

Pharaoh
Voiced by: George Nakata (anime)
An ancient pharaoh that Kid could not bring himself to attack while in his symmetrical coffin but was gunned down mercilessly once Kid saw his real (and very mismatched) appearance.

That's in the Souleater wiki...

The part at the end with the band feels like it was more of a production value thing than a clue. Something to make it feel like the "This Is My Milwaukee" was taped over something on a VHS tape.

At the beginning of the video though It shows a time code and a channel:

0H02M15S SP

CH124

Could mean nothing... Then again, they've already proven they like to use codes with the second Youtube.

I wish we could work together on one forum...

Milwaukee Tourism Commission: Milwaukee Tourism Commission Launches Major Internet Campaign At ThisIsMyMilwaukee.com

(M2 PressWIRE Via Acquire Media NewsEdge)
RDATE:26112008

Citing the grievous failures of previous tourism efforts, the
newly-formed Milwaukee Tourism Commission (MTC) announced today the
launch of its major "new media" campaign This Is My Milwaukee
(ThisIsMyMilwaukee.com). Funded by private investors, the initiative
seeks to supplant the city's obsolete tourism efforts with a modern,
internet-centric approach.

"The media landscape has changed; billboards and bumper stickers don't
cut it anymore," said MTC President and CEO Larose Burton. "Our city
needs a robust internet presence that the existing Milwaukee tourism
groups just can't provide."

The centerpiece of the $1.3m campaign is ThisIsMyMilwaukee.com, which
features a short online film designed to propel Milwaukee into the
YouTube age. The video offers a hip and irreverent look at Milwaukee
that anyone can appreciate-families, young professionals, teens, even
current and former residents.

The This Is My Milwaukee campaign will enable the Milwaukee Tourism
Commission to replace VISIT Milwaukee as the city's premier marketer.

VISIT Milwaukee, formerly known as the Greater Milwaukee Convention &
Visitors Bureau, was founded in 1967.

"VISIT Milwaukee has been bogged down in red tape since the beginning,"
said Mike Russo, Vice President of Development at the MTC. "Because
they're beholden to City Hall, they don't have the independence
required to run a good campaign. The numbers don't lie-VISIT Milwaukee
has failed."

"Mike can be pretty hard on VISIT, but it's true-our city needs a new
approach," said Michael Lewis, Communications Director at the MTC.
"This Is My Milwaukee is the kind of campaign that gets noticed today.
If you don't understand new media, you don't stand a chance."

The Milwaukee Tourism Commission intends to build ThisIsMyMilwaukee.com
into an internet content destination. As the campaign develops, users
will flock to the site to watch videos, make profiles, check sports scores, and chat about all things Milwaukee.

"This video is just the first wave for This Is My Milwaukee," said
Burton."We're working hard to rebuild our city."

ABOUT THE MILWAUKEE TOURISM COMMISSION

The Milwaukee Tourism Commission was formed in 2007 by entrepreneur
Larose Burton, with support from private investors. The Commission
seeks to revitalize the City of Milwaukee through innovative
multi-media operations. Its ongoing projects include the This Is My
Milwaukee tourism campaign, a teen leadership summit, and a Champion
Dynasty Fund to support the production of Milwaukee and Midwestern
films.
