Three times. Each time w/ both London prefixes (0207 and 0208). Nada on either.

The first one kept ringing and ringing and the latter was redirected to a mobile phone on the Orange Network.

If you right click on the link "First Floodgate ...", and choose "copy link", and then paste it into something like notepad, you get the following:

 		If nobody has posted after yours, you can delete your last post, but once someone has posted after you have. It only can be deleted by a mod, (which I've never heard of a mod deleting a post). Anyway, no worries.

Looks like i was not the only nut that took this seriously
(email received by one of those that responded to my mass mailing on this issue)

Email from "Rob" when I asked if he informed Trickett: ( he confessed to the Benefactors apparantly)

"...no just claimed i was a noob using email and internet and it was accidental. got a reply saying we all have to start somewhere going to lunch really busy

been told from a friend that the site was monitored by the mets CCU and CTP for 24hrs when there found out it was a game/public stunt they wernt bothered, i think the countdown timer had them worried"

I do not know if "Rob" is part of this community or not

That person didn't take it seriously... He posted in here, and said it was accidental to Trickett because we were all informed *not to contact Trickett* only to monitor him, it's all part of the "game".

Trickett is an actor, he's part of the "game" and so far we can only tell his character is a "contractor working on a secret project for Mi:5; which was hacked by G.A and he's slowly figuring out who they are"

It's not about 'going to such lengths' - It's what ARGs are (Alternative Reality Games). Sometimes you'll have your average Joe like myself or Natas, running (or PMing) a game and they'll be small, not very detailed ones. But sometimes Warner Bro's, or another big named company may run ARG's (or Extended experiences; like ABC for example were doing one recently for LOST).

Does your friend have proof they were monitored by authorities btw?

 		Oh and on a sidenote... I forgot to mention this earlier but just to settle things down I did a bad thing (On our side of things at least) And I emailed Trickett with the title [[OOG - Don't read if you don't want]]

And I flat out asked him on an OOG/META basis, to confirm this was all in fun as it has some of the C.T community worried.

Wow. I did not know things like this exist. Do you ever have trouble figuring out what it real and what is not? I am confused still.

He did not elaborate and I did not contact him again, tho if you like I could pass on his email to you.

I'm still weirded out that the terror attack occured at one of those coordinates that was blinking.

To be honest we have had some CREEPY "ARGs" posted here... Where we've kind of had to sit back and say 'hold on...' - Like if you check out the one titled something like "Giant Pink Elephant" I think they're still trying to decide if that's an ARG or the imagination of some sick, twisted individual.

But, as for the 'terrorist attack' - There wasn't an actual attack on anywhere that was blinking, in our world @ least? - And the two 'clippings' that people recieved were both supposedly from British papers of which I myself pick up from time to time and there was nothing in them + if they'd hit the papers, the news networks certainly would have gotten hold of it.

Ok, things are starting to get less cloudy.

I knew newspaper was a fake, easy to check that.

However, the irony here is that other people are going to that site and NOT involved in the game, or aware that there is on, are a bit freaked out, esp with the threats.

I suppose I should go allieviate their fears over at ATS? Or would that interfere with the game?
