Bolded letters spell out "Half Life 3" AIM SN perhaps?

He bolded Half Life 3? Hmm. Doubt it pertains to the video game since there is no Half Life 3 yet.

Way wrong... I'm wondering if it was an "OOG" Response though.

While there might be more delicate ways of handling this, such as 'Why don't you google "G A Project",' consider it as growing the community. Technically wrong, but right in spirit as far as I'm concerned. Always give the noobs a break.

No-No... I'm saying the PMs were wrong to do that evidently "In character" - Are you saying the PMs could be new to this?

If so I APOLOGISE PMS! But, with that said there are SEVERAL Articles here pertaining to the do's and dont's of starting your first ARG.

And yeah... Andi's blog was "hacked" He's given me strict instructions on a HL3... So I'm pondering it being an AIM name as I can't find anything else.

Edit:
Okay so I sourced his latest entry and delved into it.

He ITALICISED The following.
Quote:
ve I m lot on the co 'm of

And UNDERLINED this.

Anything there anyone can see?

They more than likely feel it was. - It's just this ARG itself has had enough controversy on it's legitimacy throughout the past 24hrs; I felt them including a forum which (most) PM's know aren't supposed to exist in their worlds as kind of creepy (per them recognizing us here).

But then again it could have been a slight nudge in the direction of this definitely being an ARG, at the same time...

Edit: T-Minus 16hrs and counting until the Bournemouth "incident" (Whatever it may be).

Edit 2: Anyone else thinking we should have told Andy to go to Bournemouth for his extended break, instead of Cornwall?

Okay, who ratted? I wrote to them asking why they can't just talk to the guy first. The Unity response?

We were. INFORMED. By a. Loyal. Recruit. To the Unity. Of such events.

He. Has left. His place of work. Running. Away. It seems.

He will. Be found. The Unity. Cannot afford. His existence.

This. Is the. Only. Course.

Keep. Orderly.

Laughing In my one AT email (on prev. page 18 ) I told him to get lost forevah in the Bahamas considering the sucky weather here which I'm posting anyway even if our deranged Benefactors ( not actually the PMs Wink) do monitor the thread. Twisted Evil

Without getting into the whole 'they know that we know that they know that uf exists' thingy, yes, wrong. Maybe new PMs, who knows? What I was saying was that while there are more elegant [and 'rule' abiding] ways to steer a noob to Uf, I, personally, am willing to cut them some slack when the purpose is obviously benevolent and to the benefit of the community at large.

In the immortal words of Chick Hearn, "No harm, no foul."

Haha nice.

Okay so people seem to be overlooking the fact that Andi told Amandel that he would give me some files could I figure out the whole thing w/ the Guitar, which I finally did... All I got was a bolded

"Half Life 3"

Are we thinking this is an AIM SN, or what? Cos along w/ that his actual email states he was "leaving you something at half four, when I leave"

I downloaded 2 different freeware RAR converters, but neither seemed able to open or decrypt either of the .rar files we have received, so my wish to help with that task is out the window. I spent some time trying to convert the gibberish put out by the dashboard.rar into something recognizable. So far, all I can see is that it is a standard ASCII ISO 8859-1 character set. Converting to Octal returns some long strings of numbers, but nothing useful, and the same for Hex. I haven't yet tried laying out on a grid and using the column/row coordinates to *color* an image. I'm going to take an offline break and do that... and eat some turkey. Smile

LOL Thank you for the effort Jayembee! But there's only one RAR file we're stuck on atm, that being "The Dashboard.rar"

On a sidenote I'd also like to know who the snitch was because quite frankly it will evidently mean I too, am in danger...

How do we know that the "loyal recruit" isn't a collegue of Andi's, the inside man(or gal) so to speak?

EDIT: @must be a way--nice catch--personally didn't notice that before.
