how far is the CIA or FBI building from the Pentagon or Washington Monument respectively?

Just thinking silent/foundations/society... and then cover up and other key words. On the london side they used MI5... maybe they are going after intelligence networks in the game.

I also noticed on the pictures of the newspaper articles it looks like lettering is bleeding thru, but have not been able to decipher anything that would make sense.

4.2 mi ... could mean millions I saw a post earlier where someone mentioned dirt moved, a thought would be if they are not USA based they would use the metric system?

I also sent a message back asking if perhaps I could help deliver the letter? -- based on the romeo and Juliet quote.

Noticed they are answering various questions uniquely and also within a time period so if you miss it you get nothing.

It also looks like they answer one question per round.

If you are off the mark they ignore you.

If no one is on track they send mass email.

Need to test with a new player sending them an answer to a question that was already answered. i.e "The answer is 8" ... to see if they get a retroactive answer with the files enclosed.

Considering the above we should come up with various questions to ask, to get as much info as possible. Each person asks something different.

Those clippings were made here...
http://www.getclippings.com/

I don't know if they embedded stuff after they created them, but the website doesn't allow you to embed stuff in the image.

Eh I must be doing it wrong... I was given 2.2 or 2.7 with both GoogleMaps & GoogleEarth.

Needless to say I've never been good @ mapwork though haha; and The Washington Monument would make relevence to "The Silent Statue" as well.

Yeah my bad, monument which is why it makes more sense haha. I said statue cos of my earlier guess of "Statue of Liberty"

As for the clippings, I've used those in a previous ARG I did (ITFS) and the 'overlay' is just to give it an image of it being an actual paper.

And @ Natas yes, I'm being blind. - I've been using "Car" as walking is still in Beta so I assumed (which you should never do in any ARG) it would be the former.

MSN Maps does something interesting with the following...

A = Pentagon
B = Central Intelligence Agency, Washington D.C. 20505

Start:
Pentagon, VA

A Start:

Type a location:

A-B: 4.2 mi, 9 min

Add a stop

1 Depart N Rotary RdHide Start details 0.2 mi

2 Keep straight onto S Rotary Rd 0.2 mi

3 Take ramp right for I-395 / Henry G Shirley Memorial Hwy North toward 14th St Bridge 1.7 mi
Entering District of Columbia

4 Keep right to stay on I-395 North 0.4 mi

5 Take ramp right for 12th St SW toward L'Enfant Promenade 0.7 mi

6 Keep straight onto 12th St NW 0.8 mi

7 Turn right onto H St NW 0.3 mi
MARRIOTT on the corner

8 Turn left onto 8th St NW FUDDRUCKERS on the corner

9 Arrive at Washington, D.C., DC on the right

B End: Washington, D.C., DC

------------

I am looking at this portion of the text

"It stands. For lies. For. Cover ups. For. Other motives.

The people that worship. The silent monument. It stands. As. A. Beacon. For. Foundations. For. Society. "

The CIA is known for Lies... actually its part of their job description depending on how you look at it Wink

They are also known for cover ups

The CIA is known for setting up Foundations
The Beacon Fund was also part of CIA history
and the CIA is known to recruit from Secret Societies, actually I believe its founding members belonged to one.

And it is a silent service to country.

CIA information on MSN Maps (very long to quote lol).

Wow, very nice work and good spot VAWE! Could be onto something there.

Sidenote: Am I the only one who noticed that although the numbers given to recruits seem to be randomized. They're also getting higher and higher w/ mine being the lowest? except our apparent Recruit "01"?

@LS, yeah you are, and that other 01 recruit never got back with sharing to all other recruits.
What a buzzkill.

I got the mass email I suppose, 'HUSH', and so I assume am not thought too much of, lol
I had a thought, what if target is just outside the CIA -in a vehicle, so it would be .1 miles from the entrance?

just thinking out loud.

Alot of great ideas have spawned over past day.
I keep thinking how that pentagon building was having the west wall important to a degree.

Also, i ran extende, can be interpreted as

IRAN EXTENDEI.
Could Iran be involved somehow?
Waht a can o worms that would be, hehe

IRAN EXTENDEI is by adding the tags with literal 'I''s before and after.

It gets no real hits, so just forget that angle.

I can make another e-mail account if you still want/need someone to test that out for you. ( Unless that's against the rules. I read the ARG player tutorial and didn't see it, but I may have skipped it. )

I think the CIA is probably the most likely, since they have more computers than the Washington Monument and TB/Unity are hacker-peeps. ( 2 cents. )
