Just for clarification, the ARG tutorial was written as a (very good) general guide. It is not the ARG Bible. (sorry Imbri). As a rule, players read it to get a general grasp of the flow of the ARG game play.

As for creating multiple emails to play. Go for it. The only thing not allowed by UF TOS is creating multiple accounts for these forums.

OOG, if it is only the underlined text... I get the anagram RAN NEED EXIT, just moving the letters around until something looks right. Of course there are many more words it can resolve to.

TSU, don't know exactly at the moment, will work my way over to the wiki site, take what we have so far and make a list up. If anyone else wants to start one we can collaborate.

A starter might be asking if 555 is refering to one or many individuals. Someone posted earlier it represent the number for Man... 1 or many?

I think that it is the number of man in general, 555=man 666= satan 777=god.

But googling it gets a timer chip thing. I'm not very tech savvy, so here's a link. I can't really tell what it does:

@VAWE34- Yea, that makes alot more sense. I am getting the feel for the different ways. I've found the rot tool...and others...so, it's quite a way to try and be a part of the mystery solving team. At first I thought it was Georgia Project, then saw the geekadd [similar] site and so, still not sure bout that initials..

I remember those radio shack days, building preamp s for the guy's guitars amps. I think the other popular addition to the circuit ,mainly, was the preamp 386. Laughing

IF its a timer, then we need to think bombs.
Isn't C2 a form of highly explosive material? maybe there is a C1 too. though I think the AT death with crowbar would make that sense there, and so 555 is pertaining to number of man.

If that is case, 666 would be imperfect man, 777 perfected man, and 555 man -unenlightened?

I'm probably complicating things. Think I'll step back and see you experienced ones go at it for a bit.
=*

I'll go look at that wiki. Great thing to do. alright

Aww. The only way any of us become "Experienced" is by partaking in the festivities. Even newbies to the sport have their roles to play.

We need speculation. And we need you.

Please come back, friend! I'll bake cookies! Cool

I am not sure why there's so much spec' on the 555.... It was planted directly next to the head of the Washington Monument. And from what I recall, as said by a few people here already, the WA Monument = 555ft tall. It's also located 4.2 mi of The Pentagon...

888=UNITY?

A 555 timer is just a chip, it has different uses dependent on how its set up. for example placing a capacitor in the circuit creates an astable oscilater dependednt on the resister/capacitor configuration.

i know its slighty off topic but how did u get stegdetect to work? when i try it always says file or directory not found? do i need to create a folder or something, the pdf for it's rubbish. did you try 8 as the pictures been up a while?

Guessing that "the silent monument" is indeed the Washington Monument as obelisks, sometimes called needles (which have eyes), also stand resembling a solitary I which is a homophone for eye.

Our benefactors have already targeted the Intelligent Eye Network and the Bournemouth Eye.

The Washington Monument = The Needle.

555 Ft up, would be the tip AKA The Eye of the needle.

Just to clarify that yes, I was agreeing w/ you and yes, I was repeating what you said in other words.

Very Happy @LS--got that and kewl beans for emphasizing the "eye of the needle" aspect.

@Cog--No longer a fan of "stegdetect" due to the many "false positives". When I ran the Pentagon jpeg (4523851001.jpg) thru JPHide it indicated: "This jpeg file has not been modified".....so Dunno

@ amandel - cheers for the heads up, as this is my first game im still building a tool base and tips like that are a great help.

Quote:

The Washington monument is also a key to the puzzle. The Monument is 555 ft tall—and some change. It is 55 feet wide. The key is the number 5. Now when you multiply 5x the whole length from the Lincoln Memorial to the top of the Star of David you get 5x 5.184 kilometers or looked at another way, 25,920---the same as the length of the procession; aka, 1 complete cycle.

The quote is from some CT website. I figured as something was posted on ATS maybe the PM's were using CT material. Theres alot on the wesite but i got bored reading (short attention span) so heres the address

www.incapabledesetaire.com/edito/secretwash.htm

Also another point is that the washington monument was built to commemorate independance from the British. Originally there was the website for a new British century website (what happened to that?!) so maybe theres a something in that? Maybe on England being more independent from the US?
