Just passing by but wanted to note as a DC resident that "the silent monument" is not the Washington Monument but rather the Vietnam Memorial. Also, the CIA Headquarters is not located in DC but is in Langley, VA, a suburb several miles outside of DC.

Thanks Tres--reckon there was some prevoius mention HERE and in full ARG context(emails, meta etc) the Vietnam Memorial doesn't appear to apply to our scenario.

Thanks amandel. I clicked on this thread by accident and thought I'd throw out that I've never heard of the Washington Monument being called that but have heard it in reference to the Vietnam Memorial. Didn't mean to send anyone down a wrong path.

Re:Stegdetect
Yes, it does give false positives, so I too tend to take it with a grain of salt, but... I still use it. Navigating is fairly non-intuitive. There's a bar above the file list when you click on open which is a navigation bar, but it's not easy to use. The best bet is probably to create a sub-directory in the stegdetect directory and dump files into that... For the record, the pentagon pic has a one star confidence rating, which is not at all encouraging, and which I missed the first time around... I always forget to look at that.

Gonna take my cameraphone and jump on a bus @ some point tomorrow, to the Warwick Reservoir East.
As I said though, did call the maintainance people there and they say unless I'm willing to dive into "shit", I'd be better off scanning the permiter on my "Colleges scavenger hunt"

Well, if there is something dropped there, the PM is a dedicated individual.

I'm honestly doubting there's going to be something... But hey, it's on the to do list, right? And I'm nearest I think so why not? Although is one usually allowed on a private reservoir? I've not even done my homework on the place.

Six miles in twenty minutes? That sounds worse than Honolulu ...

I saw nothing in that article about "miles" but quite a bit about traffic congestion; so I'm assuming you're saying that sounds like a long time to travel six miles? London's traffic is really shitty lol; and it usually takes me 10 minutes to travel 2 miles by bus at least.
Now if you're saying that's not long enough, to travel almost 6 miles then well... It only takes me 10 minutes to travel 2 miles by bus... LOL.
Either way I went down there, I think I spent more time looking around W.R.West than East b/c I got off the bus a stop early and walked in the opposite direction.
And unless I'm completely blind I saw nothing of use there - Although (and take this for what it's worth) I did see an odd looking guy walking around there in a black baseball cap and scarf covering his chin/mouth in long black jacket although it is pretty much Winter here and the weather's terrible.

You should have run up to him, tagged him on his shoulder, yelled "You're it!", and then run away really fast. That would have been hilarious.
