Right, visited www.ilovebees.com/comatas.html an behold, I found a new soundfile.
I tried refreshing, and the old file came again.

Anyone for seafood?

Don't mean to be harsh - but yeah - we know about that. But I don't mean to deter you from looking for further clues we might not yet know about.

Yup, it works now! Thank you very much!
Sorry if I'm a trouting newbie, but I searched, and I didn't found anything. So... What about the building-a-voice file?

Yeah sorry, it was found also. Can't access the Wiki right now, but all the sound files are on there, check with the wiki first Wink Keep on looking though!

I have been listening to the changling-child file in reverse and other than the 'Connection' I have noticed a couple of other 'anomolies'

- at about 45 secconds in the same voice as the connection seems to say 'christ' (not as clear as the connection, but I am fairly sure there is definitely a word there)

- there is a wierd noise at around 28 secconds which could be a voice, however I am willing to write this off as mind tricks at the moment.

- at 56 seconds it sounds like someone says 'I love ...' (probably bees) which confused me as it's supposed to be backwards. I'm not so sure of this one either.

As for the significance, I have no idea, but to be fair nothing seems to mean anything yet. It's all pretty wierd though.

(You may notice this is my first post here, I have been reading this for a little while now and I've got hooked ;p, lets hope it all goes somewhere.)

I also hear "Christ" but I think it may be "Crisis" it makes more sense...

I thought I was hearing the word "sleep" alot. It was most likely "seeb", but it would be interesting considering we have a sleeping princess and all. Really, the only word I heard clearly is "connection", I'm not really sure about the other stuff, but there probably are a few more words out there, enough to at least make a sentence, considering the text and stories we have pulled out of everything else so far.

I agree that we should be skeptical, as the mind does play tricks.

I think that crisis does make more sense, and I would say that it's pretty clear that there is something there, and I checked that it doesn't sound like anything 'forwards' (well if you listen 45 secs in on the origanal there does sound like a backwards noise)

Is there any way the coordinates can be translated to represent a wav file? I don't know too much about it, but could they possibly represent + and - sides of a sound? The times could then be translated to a 4 or 3 beat.

Don't know too much about wav files, but this thread would have the audiophiles.

A friend of mine dabbles in the DJ business and he did some analysis of the wave file that said "connection." Here's what it looks like compared to a regular song, in this case Oasis.

Notice how blocky it is? Fully digital. Not sure what this means but I'll add it to the pile.

Here's an interesting article on WAV file steganography. Anyone up for some heavy decoding?

Phase 3 wavs saved for future reference

Since for some reason there are no actual copies (at least that I can find) of these wavs saved on UF (but lots of links back to the ILB site and a bunch of reversed copies), I'm uploading them for future reference in case they get taken down and/or changed.

Cleaned up the bee1.wav... nothing there!

First of all, to all of you who are looking for byte-encoded stuff in the wave files, please note that they are encoded using MPEG-3 codecs - and that means they've been run through lossy frequency space. Meaning: even if there was anything byte-encoded, it was lost the instant it got encoded. The only non-aural message that could perhaps be encoded in there would be a message written using the spectrum, so that it would appear when the wave is displayed in spectral form - now THAT would be something! But, unfortunately, there is nothing of that kind. So the only things we can look for are sounds which we can hear, because all nearly-silent additions would most likely be cut off by MPEG-3 psychoacoustic lossy model.

That also means that we cannot expect to easily cancel one wave with another. Even if they were twin copies to begin with, after MPEG-3 compression they're not going to be byte-identical ever again. When nicely overlaid and inversed (not reversed, of course), they might almost cancel one another where appropriate, but not perfectly.

Now, my findings.

Attaching bees1.wav, dissected and cleaned. What's left when an appropriately picked piece of pure "I love bees" (from building-a-voice) is removed? Some faint leftover I-love-bees noise, due to the MPEG-3 lossiness, as mentioned above - and bee buzzing. Nothing more. Conclusion: bees1.wav is just buzzing + "I love bees". No hidden messages.

I'm working on the queen-piping.wav file now... I've managed to completely remove the final "I-I lo-love be-bees" echoed fragment, but still have to find and remove the other "I love bees" pieces. I have the feeling, however, that I'm grope:'ing in the dark, pardon the SPDR pun - and there'll be nothing there...
