Believe it or not, I sent that same thought to Alice on the 3rd. My Cd came in and I saw the link so I had to go fetch hte cards. My "theory" is that there will be one card from each book (maybe -1 becuse of hte odd shape it will make) These will all form one giant picture.

your right if you look at the top & left side of card 6 there is black outline as well as the top of card 19. If this was a complete pic the outline would go all the way around.

after looking closely at the part of the picture on card #19 I thought that it looked like part of a lab that had blown up. I thought "so far this thing is starting to look like the mural described in The Maze of Bones."

Rox - I can't believe that you didn't share your theory! After I emailed you, I had an epiphany there might be more cards that add to the picture, but I didn't imagine as many as 9. Razz I was thinking small like 4. Rolling Eyes
Wind Lane - I thought the same about a lab (looks like test tubes at the far end of the shelf), but I thought that the one jaggedy white thing was a lightning bolt that started the fire. The ladder looked out of place. I inferred that shelf is on a second story or something (hay loft is what my mind leaps to). Ack! I don't remember anything about a mural in MoB. And I just gave me book away yesterday. Sad
By now, everyone knows I love to theorize. Wink I wonder about the significance of the cards this shows up on the back of. Thomas Jefferson and the West.... perhaps it has something yo do with the Lewis and Clark Expedition.

I hope he/she is flagged by 39C as a cheater/hacker. He/She obviously knows how to get a high score!

I just finished a book by tanya harding that had a puzzle element to it. There were loads of cards inside-kind of like the 39 clues but maybe 50 with only one book. One day I fliped it over and saw it made a picture. There are lots of books with similar ideas in them.
I'm still betting on one card per book to make a large picture. Right now I'm doing searches of surrealistic art to see if I come up with anything famous. Nothing yet, but I just hit on that idea this afternoon.
The only Mural I remember from MOB is the 4 Cahill siblings. I'll have to look at the book again tomorrow.
The graveyard bit on the back of card 6 reminds me of something I've seen before. Maybe an early edition of Irving's Legend of Sleepy Hollow but I'm not sure if I have the right book.

Off topic, but is anyone else having trouble adding cards? Mine won't let me hit the submit button today. When I try, the browser shuts down. I wonder if something is happening with cards? Maybe an upgrade?

10 Card Picture

In cm, each card is about 8 x 13. If 9 card picture, a 3 x 3, you would get a 24 x 39 picture. If 10 card picture, a 2 x 5, dim. are 26 x 40. Pretty close and Not an odd shape. So, 1 card/book, Katsmom, looks very good. It could be 9, but 10 seems better at this time.

There is also new information in the Janus and Tomas secret archives.

I ran a check and these were the pages that looked new to me.

obviously the Secret links won't work unless you belong to that branch.
I also have a list that I use to check against, it's all 120 web pages on the Cahill Web that I know of. Let me know if I've missed any.
http://sapagoo.unfiction.com/all120.html
The Cahill web tends to showcase a different 10 links every day. If I don't recognize one of them, I check against this alphabetical list to see if it's new.

Hmmm. It has a plain green back in the electronic version and at wikibruce but the real card does not.....

I suppose I should check how many other cards are different physically and virtually....

[39C] Check out the Orphaned Posts Thread
555

I noticed that there were a TON of posts from people trying to posts to this thread, but not using the correct "postreply" button. sapagoo has consolidated all of them to a thread at http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=27171. If you haven't read them, it is sort of humorous (especially the one asking "where are all my posts?"). I didn't find much of substance except this possibility:

Not even sure if this is a 39 Clues related post. Anyone know if we have a card with the Washington monument?

Welcome back wacaga! I think that you must have gotten lost in the switch to the new location for the thread.
I have to admit that I was with Rox -- I only imagined an even 3x3 possibility for the picture. Good catch on suggesting that a layout of 2 by 5 was also possible. I had a thought that the black border that dragongirl pointed out might give a clue, but not yet. The only thing that rules out is a 1x10. Wink
