A few conspicuous typos on the intranet page as well:

Missing "O" in "CORPRATE INTRANETS"

Extra "M" in "upcomming"

Missing "A" in "avilable", also possibly a missing word? "For"?

that I found here

Gypsies Of Rajasthan

I wonder if this tied to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vedic_civilization
Vedic Civilization?

Re: the decoded

It kind of reminds me of the music they use in Battlestar Galactica (new)

Could we be looking at a BSG ARG?

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
In the show, they ARE in the process of trying to find earth.

The person at NAIC that Mike and Meredith have hoodwinked regarding the signal, is a Dr Murray Lewis, I checked out the NAIC.edu website and then looked at the staff directory. I was amazed to find that there's a Dr B M Lewis there, and he's the only one who has his own clickable link in the entire staff directory. The site looks like it's completely OOG, and the email address doesn't tally up with the one in the directory, but I thought I'd mention it anyway.

From his bio page:

More recently, he has been concerned with observing masers located in the circumstellar shells generated by red giant stars in their mass-loss phase

That's identical to the research of the in-game Mr. Lewis. Either they're "borrowing" his information for this or I don't know what.

I don't play many of these but... that's a little weird, isn't it?

awesome idea AUZ505!
I know I saw that that other game that went south real quick -GA Project- also had a wiki and I think to have one is valuable for the game itself and us players -to keep track of what is current and useful.
also helps newcomers to catch up -without having to go through many pages here [as I assume this will end up being many pages because it is the kind of realifetypish ARG that makes me not so bored when I have computer time here.

Since no one did it up to now. Here is the decoded signal from Meredith.

Meredith wrote:

...but as you get to the end, it's most certainly a human voice. We can't make out the words yet. We're trying to find a linguist with security clearance.

So anybody knows someone speaking this strange (arabic?) language?

Just checked up on the magazine mentioned on the frontpage - it's real, and my university has copies! I'll check it out, see if the ad has anything.

I'd just like to point out that there's probably about four people on earth that would enjoy reading this magazine. And two of them only speak German and High Klingon.

Well, at least one ARGer apparently reads it/knows of its existence, so it can't be that bad... right?

Anyways, dead end, nothing there.

ford cobra

This is what I get as google result for Cobra RBMS, which I did because the title of one of the pics on the jaybill site (while logged in as mkapinski with pword mustang {thanks to wiki)) is named:CobraRBMS-2

**************************
here is google results.
It doesn't find any RBMS, but rather search most likely term RIMS:
*****************
Did you mean: ford cobra RIMS

Results 1 - 10 of about 77 for ford cobra RBMS. (0.74 seconds)

So, naturally, and if I missed it if presented already here -this seems to be another 'I" involvement going on, lol

What if we are supposed to consider this all to be something observable to self only?
I?

I AM?

Should we be counting how many 'I''s have been interjected for the problem solving?
Or the numeral 1?

Just thinking out loud as usual.

take it or leave it Very Happy

BTW, I joined the wiki for *86, but can't figure out how to upload this pic, which I think would be a good edition to the problem as well (I think NATAS created it)
