To me it seems like we're supposed to somehow use what's being said in "solutions" to decypher whatever is being said in: "problems".

Is it just me or does that make an insane amount of sense?

I had the same thought, and have tried looking at it from this angle, but thus far I've had no luck. Though I still think it's plausible. After coming at this from every which way, off and on for days, I just don't trust my mind not to miss something. Bang Head

I'm gonna copypaste from this page: http://hosted.xamai.ca/27.php , but you can't spoilertext code, so it doesn't line up.

I haven't looked at the numbers yet.

Interesting find, but what do we do with it?

Oh that just has to be it, we still are lacking the final five numbers though.

This does make me wonder however, if we've got the first 5 "strings" of numbers, if you will, what makes the last five so important?

obviously if these ARE zip codes (which i'm now starting to doubt) we've already got 5 zipcodes with only one hidden remaining. The entire rest of the riddle seems shallow if these actually are zipcodes.

If they're not however, what could the 30 line segment mean, and why are the last 5 so important? Unless we're in fact only looking for one zip code, and the prior 5 zipcodes are only ment as a tool to decypher the last one.

Intriguing, we should get cracking on these numbers asap.

Holy crap. That anagram should have been so fracking obvious! Nice work.

Anyone coming up with any quick theories on those numbers yet?
The only place I can think of is when we call the new number which wants you to leave a fax number (which as far as I know nobody has gotten any fax yet). Maybe entering this number (once completely solved) is the key to get to the "next stage" per se.

I'm still wondering why so much time has passed since the number with the fax machine message was discovered and nobody actually getting one...?

Did we solve that riddle too quickly? Are they waiting for us to do something on that line? Not sure, whatever their intentions however they must've had some reasons to give us that phonenumber.

well given the string, looking for a pattern, it seems odd that when broken again into 5 numbers per line:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
5 0 6 2 9
1 0 1 2 2
4 0 6 0 2
6 0 9 5 8
3 0 2 4 5
_ _ _ _ _

the 2nd column is all zeros... Question Question

the only thing I see is that
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
taking the first two numbers in every row, there is 10, 30, 40, 50, 60. so maybe 20___?

It's kinda sad, MTC has been dropping that line repeatedly and no one caught it until now...They must be letting out a collective sigh of relief over there.

We think we were frustrated, but imagine being one of the PM's...

Only dead ends on my side but I can say what I've done anyway:

I took the sequence mentioned earlier:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
5 0 6 2 9
1 0 1 2 2
4 0 6 0 2
6 0 9 5 8
3 0 2 4 5
_ _ _ _ _

and noted the fact about the 0's and also how on the left side, it looks like it's counting. Not being sure wether the actual order of the numbers had anything to say we can at least note that on the leftmost column no number is being counted twice. As to say it's actually numerating (1-2-3-4-5-6).

Indicating that each columns has a special tack to it to allow us to find the last digit. The first column is counting. The second column is all zeroes, but after that I completely shortstopped. I couldn't find anything special about the third, fourth or fifth columns whatsoever (granted I didn't really try that hard). But finding any numerical pattern when two of the digits are the same is somewhat hard. I did note however that two of the numbers were the same for both third, fourth and fifth column.

Furthermore, I checked the zip codes for all the preceding number and I guess it's worthwile to note that 60958 is outside the boundary of zipcodes and as such, the zipcode relevancy is probably not there.

However, looking at the information we currently got, this is our only lead. We've got five numbers which are all conveniently placed at the end of the series, and we know they're supposed to be segmented in five numbers at a time.

Knowing this we can only conclude that we're supposed to use the numbers we've now obtained in order to obtain a new set of five numbers. Once we do I guess we'll have to, again, figure what this number is for.

As of right now though I'm just gonna keep trying to see a pattern. Something is too convenient with how the first and second columns so easily add up. Could be conisidence, though.

Well, if you assume that the first column is 1 to 6, and the second column is zero, if you sort it, this leaves us with

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

1 0 1 2 2
2 0 _ _ _
3 0 2 4 5
4 0 6 0 2
5 0 6 2 9
6 0 9 5 8

i noticed that the numbers seem to be increasing. is there any pattern here?

Also just had to note something funny:

After I concluded that the first number had to be 2 and the other to be 0, I pondered what the last three were.

Thinking back to my previous theory on using the "solutions" page it always nagged me that I could only really get one number sequence from it (the sequence 3-3-1, after the amount of solutions to each problem, 3 solutions for the first, 3 solutions for the second, and 1 solution for the third) so just out of curiosity I googled the number 20311 and found this:

http://library.thinkquest.org/20331/types/

an article about energy sources.

I know it's just a fat coinsidence, but I can't help but laugh at the coinsidences life sometimes takes you through.

Right then, back to studying the numbers -_-.

I might be able to send this along to a mathematics professor on campus. The guy is a genius, and if anyone can figure this out, he could. All I need is a green light.
