There was this secret second video, I think. Which involves the basketball kid with Family Tree. So basically what happened is, basketball kid raises family tree, it releases lots of energy, which causes Worker's glasses to shatter. Worker gets angry at him, and in the promo video we see the conclusion: Terry Nanny saves him, hence "thanks Terry, I thought I was toast".
that's a clear hint, eh. To what, do you suggest?

I meant not as a hint to a puzzle, but as a way to stich the storyline together. Because at this point not much in it makes sense.

First of all, I don't see why an MTC video would reference a Rebel video (the video must be Rebel seeing as the note led to the Rebel fax). Second, I don't see why Worker would even be in a Rebel video, but I'm pretty sure he would never get angry. He only does what Blackstar tells him to do, and apparently sits idly and quietly when not doing things for Blackstar.

I think we have a lot more to decipher in the second video, but I doubt it is implying that Terry Nanny attacked Worker.

You're only assuming it's a rebel video because Mike Russo said it. But he could be lying to save his ass (and Joey said faxes came from MTC). Also, if not the second video then what could "next week" refer to? After what has already happened, I'm pretty certain it's not just a throw-away phrase.

Grim Tale

Random musing here... Thinking on the grim tale I searched fro Grimm Tale + Long Walk. Two Grim Tales include the term 'long walk', Little Red Riding Hood and The Bremen Town-Musicians.

Regarding the terms Doleful City & Grim I found this poem:

'WE' have not passed into a doleful City,
We who were led to-day down a grim dell,
By some too boldly named "the Jaws of Hell:"
Where be the wretched ones, the sights for pity?

These crowded streets resound no plaintive ditty:-
As from the hive where bees in summer dwell,
Sorrow seems here excluded; and that knell,
It neither damps the gay, nor checks the witty.

Alas! too busy Rival of old Tyre,
Whose merchants Princes were, whose decks were thrones;
Soon may the punctual sea in vain respire

To serve thy need, in union with that Clyde
Whose nursling current brawls o'er mossy stones,
The poor, the lonely, herdsman's joy and pride.

William Wordsworth

Not sure if anyone already mentioned this but the word Quati is in the graph on page 26 again and ends at the square marked D with the little building/gate next to it.

Re: Grim Tale

Just to leave no turn unstoned, the poem is subtitled "Greenock" and has the Italian phrase "Per me si va nella Città dolente". It's on Google Books.

Edit:

I also see that the phrase "the way into the doleful city" occurs in Thomas Pynchon's recent Against the Day (pp. 154 and 401) but Google Books only has a "snippet view" for that book. Anyone have this? I work in a library but now it's the weekend. The most I can cajole out of Google is:

Thomas Pynchon wrote:

... it was decided to put up, at some transition point into the forbidden realm, another great Portal, inscribed I AM THE WAY INTO THE DOLEFUL CITY— DANTE, above which on each anniversary of that awful event, spanning the sky over the harbor, would appear a night panorama -- not quite a commemorative re-enactment -- more an abstract array of moving multicolored lights against a ...

I mention this because the book apparently has bits about Chicago, which is in the TIMM region.

Snail Mail?

Just curious, did anyone actually mail to the PO box? It could be maybe another source of information.

Hey guys,

I just did a google search of "this is my milwaukee" and the link to the main site now says this (bolded emphasis mine):

Quote:
This is My Milwaukee
PO Box 511602, Milwaukee, WI 53203. Synydyne BlackStar Nim Projects. 0. 5. 0. 1. 2. 0. 3.
www.thisismymilwaukee.com/ - 5k - Cached - Similar pages -

Has this number sequence always been there? I don't remember ever seeing it before, and I'd be surprised if it's been there and no one has analyzed it.

EDIT: Whoops, spotted this mentioned on page 85 of the thread, sorry sorry. <3

orig. quote is dante. 'way into doleful city' is written above hell. commonly translated, 'abandon hope, all ye who enter here.'

I AM THE WAY INTO THE DOLEFUL CITY,
I AM THE WAY INTO ETERNAL GRIEF,
I AM THE WAY TO A FORSAKEN RACE.
JUSTICE IT WAS THAT MOVED MY GREAT CREATOR;
DIVINE OMNIPOTENCE CREATED ME,
AND HIGHEST WISDOM JOINED WITH PRIMAL LOVE.

BEFORE ME NOTHING BUT ETERNAL THINGS
WERE MADE, AND I SHALL LAST ETERNALLY.
ABANDON EVERY HOPE, ALL YOU WHO ENTER.

Who's the 'I' referring to in this passage? Whoever it is, 'I' = Grid1? Could 'I' be a ciper key for the grid?

Well, within the confines of Dante's Inferno, the "I" refers to the gate itself, upon which the inscription appears. Nothing cryptic or anything.

So has this game went on hiatus for the holidays? Seems like there hasn't been in forward progression in almost two weeks...

It would appear that is the case. Either that, or the PMs are waiting for some key information to be figured out in what we already have and they don't want to give any clues.

The only thing we've seen from the SF drop is the speculation in the central park thread. If central park isn't right, the PMs probably are waiting for us to figure out what the SF drop really is.
