 		[Question] I have a chance to hit the Axons--but...
First of all, I'm new here. My name is Ezrid. I'm not registered... yet.

I have been watching for a week now. I'm very near to one of the Axon GPS locations. I have a problem, and a few questions.

Problem:
My time is 7:27 PDT. How does that translate to east coast time, no daylight savings? If you can't answer that, at least tell me what PDT time is. I don't know.

Questions:
If I can make it to the Axon-location, what should I expect? People with experience: a house? a pay-phone? a phone call? a newsstand? a van from microsoft?

For the record, I'm betting on a Halo 2 demo release in OXM, on August 24th. Maybe the coordinates will be a place to purchase the magazine.

 		Hello Ezrid,

To check on timezones, please go here. PDT is the blue timezone on the west coast, at GMT -8 hours. You should be able to figure out what the correct time is in your zone now.

As what to expect, noone knows for sure, we're all in high anticipation!

As for a Halo2 demo, you can forget about that, it has been denied over and over quite forcefully and I do think we will not see any surprises as to that subject.

Have fun at the axon when you decide to go!

i have seen the mag on s the 21 it has nothing new about halo 2 in it
so i don't think thats what the count down is for cuz it has nothing new about halo 2 in it.

Understood on the denials, but I thought that Bungie hadn't officially commented on any of it. Am I behind the times?

One thing I have discovered is that it is exceedingly easy to get behind the times in a quick-paced 'game' like this.

As for no one knowing what to expect -- certainly this kind of physical, real-world hunt down has happened before in these games? My only reservation is that it's a poor part of town to visit. Let's just say I'm definitely not going to be wandering into any houses.

Although one response came from a moderator and kindness was expected, I thank you for putting up with me through this (hopefully brief) newbie stage.

Well, Bungie has been careful not to mention anything related to Ilovebees, but they have quite vehemently confirmed that there will be no demo and no early release. No reason there can't be a surprise after all, but I doubt it.

Heh, well, I'm not sure if you can call it quick-paced (yet), but there have been SO many players and so many posts, it can be pretty easy to get lost. Have you tried looking at the Moderated Blog, Wiki and Guide (linked to in the caption of this forum)? They are pretty nifty when it comes to getting up to speed without having to wade through all the spec posts.

If what most people hope will happen really happens tomorrow, the game will broaden and probably get a lot more high-paced even!

Well, there have been a few instances, mostly dealing with actors being there, but there has never been something this big, i.e. on 220 locations. A previous game, Metacortechs, had a phonecall going out to approximately 1200 people, so that could be an option, or there could be people there handing out stuff, we reallt don't know... it's all a matter of speculation right now.

Hmm, I'll leave that up to you. As I'm in Europe, I'm not able to check on any locations myself, but I sure would if there were any available... I hope you have fun if you go and check it out!

 		Here is the link to the post where Bungie officially denies that there will be no demo or early release. And they even say that there will probably be no demo until after the game is released. Its anyone's guess what the outcome of the game will be.

Then you must have been reading the wrong magazine. The one with "Do not open till 24th" has announced that it has 'tons of info' on Halo 2, probably just screenshots though.

I dont know if anyone has seen this but there was a halo 2 secret document on the bungie webcam page im sorry if this is off topic im new to the forum but it might have to do with the ilb site
