Out of curiosity, what are you using to record your calls?

Just putting the phone near the microphone. xD

Also, here is the file.

Just got off the phone with Lewis- I tried to use talk about jobs as a transition to info about rebels:

I began by telling him he was a hard man to reach. He explained that his phone had been stolen by rebels recently, and that it had only just been retrieved. I asked why the rebels would want to steal his phone, and he said that phones were scarce in Milwaukee. I said that 'I suppose rebels need to communicate too', trying to nudge him a bit and see if he knew anything about the fax, but no luck.

Moving on to jobs (in order to play along while I tried to get more info), I asked if there were other positions available, since none listed matched my skill set. Then I got more specific, and asked if they served a lot of meat and/or suffered a lot of deaths in Milwaukee. This threw him a bit... he's not as quick as Russo. So I went on to explain that as a youth I worked as a butcher, but decided I wanted to earn more Dark Dollars, so went to school and got my embalming degree. I pointed out that, with all the Go.D.S.E.E.D. fragments, people must be dying left and right. He said that while the situation was grim, it's not out of control, but that a good number of people do get consumed by Go.D.S.E.E.D. fragments, so an embalmer would definitely be welcome. I asked if the Go.D.S.E.E.D. fragments left anything behind, since being consumed wouldn't leave me a lot to work with. He said that there are a few different things that can happen when you encounter a fragment, so my skills would indeed be useful. And if I had a stern voice and good power-lifting skills, Blackstar would want to hire me. And of course, though I might not want to, I could always put the butcher skills to use over at FeBrizzio's, making hamBURgers. It would at least be enough to get me into secured housing. I told him that in today's world, you gotta do what you gotta do to get by.

Him warmed up a bit now, I approached the subject of M:ARH. I asked what exactly went wrong with the release, and he put the blame on 'The VP of Development". I asked if he was referring to Russo, and he said he didn't want to name any names. But that VP of Development was an unnecessary position, what with Walter already there, and that Larose never should have hired the guy. He even questioned his 'power-lifting skills'. I asked if they would ever release a more complete version of M:ARH, and he said that the project has been put on hold, probably delayed a few years now, since it's become such a disaster.

Finally, I asked him if he was concerned about the fact that the rebels had been using his phone, and if he thought that might lead to any trouble for him. He said he didn't think so, that this type of thing happens, but that the MTC is running a tight ship and he's just happy to have his phone back. He noted that after a Dark Archery lesson, it's nice to be able to come home and call a few friends. I hesitated, and told him I didn't want to worry him, but that I saw this strange video online and, long story short, it secretly led to his phone being connected to some strange fax number (didn't mention receiving any fax... just that his # was being put to strange use). He said he didn't know much about the internet, and again noted that he was just happy to have his phone back. At that I left the subject alone, wished him well, and bid him a good night.

Note that he expressly used the word grim yet again. Seems important to me.

Conrad/Jim - Love the calls guys, very helpful. Could you do me a tiny favor? When you make and record the calls could you try to talk a little softer? I have to turn the sound up really high to hear the Mike's but then your end of the call is crazy loud. If you talk a little quieter I can always clean up the file and make the overall volume louder in one of the programs I have but going in and just making their end of the call louder is very time consuming. If you're interested in cleaner versions of the audio files let me know (less noise, fewer clicks, less breathing, better volume etc) and I'll send them to you. Thanks again for the audio files guys Smile

PDF said Second Base in it. For some reason, it reminded me of the Dark Dollar arrangement Second Gear and when Mike obsessed over "Second Tables"

Yeah, I just subscribed for skype, so We'll actually be able to call the number instead of putting the phone next to the mic, it should be cleaner from now on.

Shiny, thanks guys Smile

They've been making a lot of water/sailing references lately. In one of the recent calls/emails he said something about a spill and mopping up a mess or something. I'll have to go find it.

If you look at the formatting in the original pdf it'll probably make more sense http://mymilwaukee.wikibruce.com/images/2/2e/BS_JOBS_ACT11.pdf
