Please post your field reports here, using the following format:

Subject: <Coordinate Time>, <Coordinate Location>
Body: Summary
Start off with a summary of what took place:

I was standing right on top of my GPS point when...
...and right when my digital watch clicked over a payphone
half a block away starting ringing.
...right then a woman transformed into a robot and started dancing.

Times and Clues (if any)
After the summary, give the time that this event was listed as happening and any info/clues that you received.

Any other Pertinent Info
List anything here that doesn't fall well into the above two categories.

I tried the beer that maggie gave me when I got home, and it was stellar. I'm so drunk right now.

[EDIT]FREE OFFSITE IMAGE HOSTING Wishi-San found a nice place that lets you upload an unlimited number of pictures (1 MB max size each) at http://imageshack.us. After you upload your pic, it even gives you the code necessary to post a linkable thumbnail to the forums.

In the interest of speed, here's my retelling from IRC:

<sfsdfd> Short answer: It's a recording from Melissa
<sfsdfd> Short answer: I think she's looking for someone who knows her name, and if the answerer says it...
<sfsdfd> ,...soimething else happens.
<sfsdfd> But I didn't say anything - I was busy trying to repeat everything to au_frank Sad

<sfsdfd> here's the text of the call.
<sfsdfd> "Good - you're there!"
<sfsdfd> "I'm going to tell you who I am, and who you are
<sfsdfd> this part is sketchy, but I'll do the best I can
<sfsdfd> "The ship is damaged, and so is my hard drive
<sfsdfd> Either "I don't know who I am" or "But I'll tell you who I am"
<sfsdfd> and then, "and who you are"
<sfsdfd> and then something like
<sfsdfd> "But first say my name" or something (I don't really remember)
<sfsdfd> and then, silence for like 20 seconds.,
<sfsdfd> 20 secs of silence - I thought it was dead
<sfsdfd> and then, "You don't know my name!"
<sfsdfd> and then a bunch of "I love bees! I love bees!"... etc.

It's a recording. Definitely a recording - you can hear it start and stop.

So it's looking for a VOICE RESPONSE. Based on the discussion, I think the proper text is: "But first, TELL ME WHO I AM, AND WHO YOU ARE." And then a pause. Presumably, you say "Melissa" and... maybe the coords page code word?

AXONS GO HOT! heh. That's all. Good luck, everyone!

 		hey_soldier reporting in.
I was at the 07:23 site along with ReverbandWiskey and a guest.
There was some preliminary chatter, hard drive crashed, etc.
then: What is my nickname
me: Melissa
Good, someone is there.
then an audio sequence ending with "Hey Soldier, is that rifle loaded or are you just glad to see me?"
then: "Would you like me to repeat or continue?"
Me: Continue
PAUSE
Your equipment does not allow me to continue.
I love bees...etc.

Looking at the site, my AXON Is HOT anyway.

 		We were at the 6:15 location - no payphones in sight, residential area. Location confirmed via maps and GPS, so we know we were definitely at the given coords. The time passed and no phones rang. Apparently some sites are duds.

i was at the 6:47 site in cottondale, florida. phone rang, i picked up. harddrive damaged, same thing, then i was trying to get this local kid away from me and told him to go see what someone at another phone was doing, then i hear something like "you need to cut the chatter on your end, ilovebees ilovebees ilovebees", then silence for 20 secs, then disconnected.

Ditto. I was there with Improvius et. al., and unfortunately since we didn't know about the coordinate change, there was nothing to see, hear, or answer.

Surprising, as I double-checked the coords for any change prior to leaving at 8:15 EST.

Password, Jersey"

Who knows how much of it was necessary, but it worked. Go light 'em up.

The person who answered the call attempted to record it. There was a lot of ambient noise. There were approximately 14 people crowded around a telephone with cameras, both digital and video.

The man who answered the call claimed the recording played was the same as described elsewhere: She's got a damaged harddrive, she needs you to tell you her nickname:

He said "Melissa [pause] Melissa [pause] Operator" and hung up after about 3-5 more seconds. Apparently he was disconnected.

He did not indicate if there was a trailing message.


Our Axon is not hot as of the time of this message. However, Our_Hoodlums was activated by other bees.

 		Both Kissimmee locations (07:43 & 08:43) appear to have been duds. The coordinates have not changed, but no phones rang at either location. There were multiple people at each spot.

If they repeat, I think I'll only hit one this time. Unpaid time off work with no reward gets old quickly. Smile

 		went to the 8:15 site in D.C. met up with a few other people, we covered all the payphones in the area, (3 different ones within a block ) but each payphone was dead, no dial tone, nothing, so the phones were useless. So at least that part of the dizzy grouping was not available for conversation.

Stupid verizon and their broken phones.

there was no phone except about a block or so away. We hung out in between in case that ended up being the phone.

The location turned out to to be the OSU Asian Community Center.

Our AXON is not hot, and it appears that only one of the locations in the PQI sector has been activated. Will try again tomorrow, hopefully the coordinates change.

Also of note, there were about 8 others there who apparently don't read the forums much. Looked like they were toting every type of gadget imaginable. People need to scout a bit more instead of seeking immediate gratification methinks... Some people drove a ways and all they got was a lousy phone call, or no phone to be found Wink

 		Dirtball and I were at the 8:31 location. There is a payphone right ontop of it but no phones rang, dissappointingly. Dirtball is returning tommorow. He has audio recording equipment, so hopefully...
