Manhattaners Anybody interested in something...interesting? Hi, I'm new around here. I was wondering if there's any people around here who live in Manhattan who are willing to some simple things. I would very, very much appreciate the favor that is needed. It's all apart of a.....well...ongoing social project that me and three other people are doing.
The favor needed is very simple; I just cannot do it because I don't live near manhattan.
Thanks for your time.

I live in Brooklyn...but I work in Manhattan.
What is it? I like social experiments...even more than I like animal experiments.

It's been over a month since the thread was created, but I'd figure I'd toss my hat in as well. I live in Brooklyn and make regular trips out to Manhattan, including for school. Lemme know.

I'm thrilled to come back to the forums after a few months absence and find this thread. Several players and designers from the New York area have been talking about setting up a regular monthly meeting. We haven't scheduled anything yet -but we can definitely put something together for October if we don't make September.
Any suggestions for locations?

Should we just stick to Stout? I think we can find a place with more character. IGDA uses a place called the no idea bar which might be an option. There is a big--though plain-- room in the back for mingling and talking. I also found two places that have trivia nights - though there must be loads of them -so if we want to play some trivia we can find places for that.
One other idea for people who want to trek to brooklyn (oh no the letter trains) is barcade the home of microbrews and videogames.
Personally I'm up for trying new places, so any other ideas?
Is Thursday night a good night for most people? For me Tuesday or Thursday works best.

I just moved to an obscure part of the city (Bay Ridge). It takes me forever to commute anywhere, but I would love meet up with some ARG types. I guess Manhattan would be easy.

The Eldritch event is this Friday! I'm still trying to figure out a way to be able to attend.
