I'll be able to go, but not until Saturday. No chance in hell I am wandering around Central Park at night and Saturday is the soonest I can get there in daylight.

Yeah I think we can all wait until daylight. No need to get someone killed!

Plus, wandering around central park with a shovel and a camera at this time of night qualifies as weird even in NYC.

Guys... if the pg 26 and 27 charts are related to each other... we may now have a connected location AND date.

Central Park Great Lawn, Jan 1st

We get this right?

Deap drop. Middle of baseball field in central park. Probably a family tree?

Let's go NYCers! Get out there!

AWESOME solution, I don't know how post divined it without at the correct landmarks. Take a camera, whoever goes (and make sure it's not a chocolate II).

Our intrepid treasure hunter is digging (where else) on a baseball field.

This suggests you'll need:
1) a shovel
2) goggles

I agree. Sucks that we have to wait that long for the next bit of info.

Hope something more comes out in the meantime.

Okay, I'm convinced. I'll talk to some NYC peeps and see if they'll go.

I just wish we had one more little titbit of info, because I'm afraid we might end up sending people to stand around in the middle of a ballfield.

Definitely worth the trip, though.

They could always bring some bats and gloves and make a day of it...c'mon it's not THAT cold.

'Course the question remains what time, and what exactly needs to be done. But if there's that much time left, we're bound to get more clues. Maybe a whole bunch of us can show up that day, shovels and goggles in tow. XD

I want to see that scene shot Reservoir Dogs style; a bunch of Mining Helmet wearing mofo's strutting through Central Park like they have the world by the ass.

I can be there in the morning, provided we know that we don't have to wait until January 1st for the drop. Anyone have any ideas?

So the question becomes - is this a hand drawn interpretation of NYC's Central Park area? If so, what becomes of it - what do we do with it? If not, is this a red herring to throw us off of something else? Or are we not getting it?

I like the idea of NYC, but are we falling too far away from Milwaukee?

I don't know anything about this drop, to busy to really get involved right now. But about drops in NYC...

It seems to me like th PM is choosing big cities for drops because it's more likely to be picked up in a well populated area. So places like NY, San Fran, Los Angels, Las Vegas, DC, London etc seem likely places for a drop. Ideally the drops would happen within the game worlds setting but assuming (generously) that 1000 people are playing this ARG how many of those are going to get involved enough to pick up a drop and of those how many will be located in Milwaukee? Furthermore, they can't fly all over the US to plant stuff for us so they have to choose locations that are convenient to where they themselves are located.

I wish I could be involved at this level but it's pretty unlikely that something will be dropped in Delaware. Course, Philadelphia is close by so I've got my fingers crossed. Maybe we could add ourselves to a map and that would help the PM's get an idea of where we're most densely grouped and help them to choose drop locations? Also, it would just be fun to see where everyone is from Smile

If you feel like adding yourself, I set up a map for us:

I've made a new thread for the NYC drop.

Right now there's a baby shower full of babies in Central Park stealing our drop.

C'mon, it could happen.

Smile

Oh, and if there's a drop in the Boston area, I've got it covered, at least until I go traveling for the holidays.

Oo, oo, I have the bottom half of FL! Or more specifically Miami, Tampa or Orlando, which are about the only cities I can imagine they'd hit in FL. Miami's a drive for me but I've got a friend down there I could maybe convince if there was anything down that way. Also, Tallahassee if anything pops up there after Jan. 6th
