Still need to formally display the snowflakes, but here's a pic of some of them.

wow Tres, those look beautiful!! I would say you could hang them on my tree, but I don't have one this year because we went out of town for Christmas.

Thanks Ti! How was your family holiday away? I'm having a great time making the snowflakes. The batch after that were made from thinner paper that was easier to cut so are more delicate and flake-like. Think I might string them up across the window if I can do that without making a mess.
Btw, I used these instructions http://highhopes.com/snowflakes.html as well as looking at a couple demonstrations on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wTBh8pLfaFs
Edited: removed the link for making coffee filter snowflakes because I tried one and think it doesn't have enough substance.

Somehow, I knew when I submitted a song I'd get stuck in the North Pole News!

**one piper piping** @Tonamel making the NorthPole News' latest episode3 to be heard HERE
The O Henry story always moistens the eyes and I could use that CookieMagic with my own cookie monsters.

Snickerdoodle is stirring up more trouble:

I've done it! Snuck a few more letters in to Santa. Ha! I think that should do the trick!

I felt compelled to tell Santa that he needs to look carefully at the letters he's received recently. It would be nice to have some blog backup from y'all.
Nice song Tonamel -- please take a bow!
I sent in a recipe for Santa's Soon To Be Favorite Pecan Pumpkin Bread and said it'll be waiting for him on Cmas eve.
Santa's Soon To Be Favorite Pecan Pumpkin Bread
1 can pumpkin puree (15 oz.)
4 eggs
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup applesauce
2/3 cup water
3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup chopped pecans
2 t. baking soda
1 1/2 t. salt
2 t. cinnamon
1 t. nutmeg
1 t. allspice
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour two 4" x 8" loaf pans.
Mix pumpkin, eggs, oil, applesauce, water and sugar in large bowl.
In another bowl combine well the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice. Add pecans.
Add the dry ingredients to the pumpkin mixture, and stir until just blended.
Pour batter into the loaf pans. Bake for approximately 65 minutes or until knife or toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Morning All. @Tres: bet Santa was good enough to read your letter warning comment yet he has a new entry LINK HERE
At this point in time would say to contact SugarPlum directly at randomactsofchristmasSPLAT yahoo.com but have the feeling she already knows exactly what BHBE is up to. Frosty's Toys For Tots deserves a gold star anyway.

amandel, sending that link to Santa was an inspired idea. We both had similar thoughts and posted on the blog at the same time.

HE HE--just noticed that. Those Santa Real Time Letters from kiddies can make you laugh and cry at the same time.
Thinking it's about the children yet feeling very sorry for Mrs. Claus and SugarPlum too....

New email from Sugar Plum:
Quote:
Oh dear! It looks like we'll need something extra-special to help Santa!
I know he loves to hear the North Pole News. So, I'd like all my helper elves who are taking part in the Random Acts of Christmas to tell finish this statement:
Santa, you shouldn't cancel Christmas because...
Write or record your answer and email it to tasksSPLAT santaschristmastree.net. I'm going to put everything together and make sure that Santa hears it.
I know your answers will help him know exactly why he shouldn't cancel Christmas!
