A force of ten thousand doesn't do any good if they're just going to run at the first sign of trouble. Take Washington's approach, and isolate the true fighters into a small combat unit. Then rush the barricade with the main force, and have them peel away when ever they get close enough. The fighting unit should be in the middle of the fleeing force, and they should be given priority over weapons and ammunition. If they can take the barricade then the rest should flood the hall and food storage, while the fighters take the ammo dump. Then hold there for further instructions.

Protecting the stronger fighters is essential for this; you should make peace with the fact that even men of your own side can have a good use as human shields. Depending on the enemy's firepower, their bullets may not even be able to pass through to a second person.

Scrap metal can make a good defense/armament, especially since you want to try and make sure that every person has at least some sort of weapon. Thick branches for bashing weapons or thinner ones whittled to a point also work.

If possible, fire is a good and easy way to back your enemies into a corner, especially in an enclosed space. Depending on the specifics of the situation, you could merely set fire to the entire building and force them to flee or die. Or break a hole through the barricade and set damp wood burning to smoke them out or asphyxiate. Or also break a hole through the barricade and send through firebombs.

Molotov cocktails are simple to make -- fill glass bottles with gasoline or other highly flammable substances such as high grain alcohol or turpentine. Roll a rag to fill the opening. Light and toss for lots of flame. Thickening agents such as tar, sugar, animal blood, foam, egg whites, motor oil, rubber cement, and dish soap can be added to the fuel to produce an effect something like napalm in that it will adhere to targets and create clouds of thick choking smoke.

Another option is to toss in bottles of an equal parts bleach/ammonia mixture. This results in chlorine gas, a very effective airborne poison. It is very important that you don't follow the bottles in, as this will kill off all your men as well.

@Dirt Driver, I have to agree with Rotation. Normally drawing an enemy to you on your own terms is the best choice, but doesn't seem to be an option here. Edit: And yes, it's 10,000 to 50 in our favor though our "troops" are just normal people with rudimentary weapons and the enemy has guns.

 		the problem with using fire or poisens to kill them is justice isnt done, Cut power to the building (tourches stand out in the dark), break teams down into efficent squads each taking a sector. E.G one takes the food another group takes the amoury with some left in reserve. My little additions I know its late now but oh well.

 		All right, I received a message from the Upper Volta Government. But before I disclose that, I'll give you some "pre-game" information I know. But do forgive me, I haven't read through this whole thread yet, I just want to get this out before I forget.

When this game first started (around the beginning of November), I was contacted by Igor Horst. Igor had been a character in a game I had just recently played (I helped destroy the world in a paradox, it was pretty cool.) Because of this Igor said I couldn't be involved in the game. Before he said this, he did give me some information which will make some things make more sense.

Igor studied the ruins of the Thule Society, which is the basis for the Nazi Aryan Race, also considered the race that built Atlantis. They're this ancient race of superior humans who could do all sorts of cool things like communicate through time and they're supposed to be really smart. He said he was on a trip to Lower Volta because they were the only ones who let them come in. He planned to study the ruins there for signs of the Thulian culture. There are Thulian ruins in Egypt and Libya too.

Igor also contacted me today. But I'll get to that after the email I recieved from the Upper Volta Government. They don't say who they are, but I assume it's the president.

I don't know what's happening, but I hold you are responsible for all this. Please, save me. I have risked everything to let you walk into Upper Volta, can you please return the favor?


The email is from "01010000100101111 00010101000100101" aka uppervoltagovermentSPLATgmail.com. I ran it through a binary conversion but I didn't get anything. Someone else might want to check my work because there's a good chance I screwed that up.

Now yes, I realize the change from Lower to Upper Volta and I think this is a pm mistake or my group of Thulian researchers went from Lower to Upper. Eitherway, I promise you this is the same game. Also, I have emailed the government back promising "reinforcements" in exchange for information. Do I have reinforcements? Of course not but I figured it's a good barter, the guy has no other hope. And yes, "The Network" is Igor and I. I think a few other people I don't quite recall. It may be "The Database" that one of the emails you guys got talked about. I'll ask Igor the next time I get a chance to talk to him.

Now, I talked to Igor today. He says the rioters attack without demand or warning, and there is a rumor they're cannibals. He says "I think we might have caused the destruction of Upper Volta." There's a group who doesn't like them, and calls them "Imperialists". Either way, this group wants them dead. He thinks the group will try to conquer all of Africa. Ignor was a trustworthy character in the last game I played so I've given him some information. We've come to the conclusion that there are a lot of lies going on here. He claims there's a "rage" going on almost like an infection. The riots are spreading everywhere, he thinks the military might have just panicked. Something that might be worth noting - he did bribe the president to do research there.

 		Okay I don't ever recall playing any other ARG (or starting to) with my current "ARG Email" addy but recieved the following email today from uppervoltagovernmentSPLATgmail.com:

Let me tell you what happened. I let The Network explore a bunch of relics and ruins in my country. Then, my entire country fell apart and communication networks got shut off. Random people, rich and poor, young and old, have begun rioting throughout the street, and what's left of my military is running out of bullets to contain the riots. I had some barricades that are constantly being maintained but if they fall, we're doomed. The oval rooms are where the food supply is, enough for 30 days, and the rectangular room is where all the guns are kept.

I am typing this from my bedroom, marked by that black square. There's no escape for me, other than via helicopter, or by breaking the siege. I need to find some way to get this horde away from me. I think there are 10,000 people outside. I need reinforcements quickly, or some way to get the horde out. If they break in, I'll die.

Speaking of the greenish tint, Igor mentioned something about a "rage" infecting people like a disease. I'm thinking that something they found in the ruins has started some kind of infection.

 		Right so let me get this right were playing both sides now? Kinda feel we should set up 2 topics and have 1 for each side. play against each other kind of thing and let people choose a side.

OR we could lie to the president and walk him into the hands of the rioters or visa versa.

 		Might be a fan type thing. I've played a game by this pm before. It's pretty simple stuff. Couple cheap websites, mostly aim interaction. But then again, he might have stepped his game up a bit. Who knows.

Edit: Talked to Igor. He's running with my theory of the green tint being an infection and says there were some Thule relics that were "cures".

The tactics got through by the way. The president is dead.

Well they were the ones who emailed us for tactics and the molotovs were suggested by "why so cereal". That doesnt sound like mindless?

Cerealness is mindlessness! Rolling Eyes

But yeah, zombies usually run/walk, moan, and bite. Don't think molotovs fit on that scale, unless there are groups of actual humans amongst the zombies who are controlling them somehow?(And also, it was Degravedi who advised for molotovs, I came in a bit late with that.)
